Thank you for joining Radley Balko in this investigation of Clay Jackson's plight, a target of the Trump administration's horrible totalitarian abuse of our most worthy citizens who are devoted to helping others who need help. Thinking: USAID, teachers, and all government agencies formed out of our country's concern for the needs and well-being of its citizens, and all of those whose feet walk on our soil (the undocumented, visitors, anyone).

I just found this from PI April 21st:

Ken Bass

Apr 21

I'm a retired trial lawyer. I really want to emphasize that federal law permits CIVIL lawsuits against government agents who violate a person's constitutional rights. These are called "Section 1983" or "Blevens" lawsuits. They are civil actions that can be brought against individual government agents, meaning they cannot be erased by a pardon. It is time for the victims of these illegal and unconstitutional arrests to start filing legal actions against the agents who detained them, which will then deter ICE officers from following illegal orders from above, and will also develop evidence during discovery that could lead to such lawsuits against higher level officials.

Do you think you can get this information to Jackson, in case (as an insurance attorney) he is unaware of this?

Wouldn’t, in this case, a wrongful dismissal case be more appropriate?

I just tried to get to the FNF website so I could call them about this, but their website is down! Coincidence?

Expect more and more of this. The goal is to get people in line and intimidate people into complying and cooperating with the fascist agenda. They are depending on the fact that workers are fearful for their jobs and income, so they’ll stay quiet and complicit. It’s easy to speak rebellion and harder to act when confronted with the prospect of losing your job and stability. I’m sure Clay Jackson was not expecting this shitstorm when he merely tried to help inform some fellow human beings in need. I hope he gets all the support he deserves!

Thank you for investigating and publishing this very important news piece. This administration is testing our last fiber of decency. They want nothing more than two instill such fear that we will not only refuse to help someone in need but turn on our neighbors. This is exactly what happened in Germany pre-World War II.

People must look at The Trump Administration splaton attack on due process and other civil rights, not only in the light of saving our democracy, look at it as saving their own rights... because those rights are quickly disappearing.

I'm sure this man's performance took a nosedive in the span of about a month. Yeah, OK, FNF. 🙄

Not being a registered Republican earns an automatic performance penalty at FNF. Helping out someone less fortunate? Double demerits.

Shameful. No sense of decency. Clay Jackson fired for an act of compassion and human kindness? God bless him and his family.

Clay Jackson was filling a need. Dallas has fewer resources than other Texas locales for legal help on immigration. https://www.dallasobserver.com/news/dallas-rep-johnson-wins-local-nonprofit-funding-after-trump-freeze-22001492

Thank you, and kudos to the new Representative Julie Johnson who replaced Colin Allred. How sad that Allred did not win the Senate seat.

Tom Homan, lacking a soul and any human empathy, is good at his job. He invented separating children from parents as a deterrent for people crossing the border. That's bold thinking. He believes judges are wimps and lawyers are prosecutable for counseling the law to clients and others. He would have AOC arrested for disagreeing with him. What a big man! What a maga man!

Well, they are different companies, but Fidelity Investments made a $500,000 donation to Trump's "inauguration." Caught my eye, because I used to do business with them, too.

This is chilling — and exactly the point.

When standing up for a family’s basic rights gets you fired, it’s not about policy. It’s about power. It’s about fear.

And it’s a clear signal: if you speak up, they’ll come for you next.

I’m watching it happen across my network, to people who refuse to sit down quietly.

Silence won’t protect us. Solidarity will.

They want to scare us into submission.

Instead, let’s make sure they hear us even louder. 📢

I hope that Clay Jackson can sue FNF for wrongful termination and wins tons of money because they are wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Better yet, also sue the men who participated in his firing. If people are protected from the consequences of their illegal actions, there will be no change. I know this, you know this, but the Supreme Court obviously does not know this.

Wow! Just Another billionaire and organizations beliefs built upon greed over people’s rights and well being.

Our only knowledge of

these acts come from brave journalists reporting what one caring citizen did for other less fortunate. Actions of Bravery beyond words.

“ Each time a man” or woman

“ stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against injustice , …sends for a tiny ripple of hope “

RFK, a bullet silenced that hope at that time but it will take far more than bullets and bullying to silence all of us this time.
