Thank you for this important reporting. The unqualified and morally and ethically bankrupt people that the Toxic Bozo has appointed to the federal bench will do grave damage long after he's finally gone. Eileen Cannon, his judge in Florida, single handedly denied the American people any chance of justice with regard to Donald's theft and dissemination of classified documents after his first disastrous term. His Supreme Court judges handed him absolute immunity from all of his past and future crimes while ripping away the right to bodily autonomy for women. And this crew is not done yet. We need to vigorously oppose and block his appointments with everything we have.

We shall see if Trump is able to bully this thug thru. Given the cowardice of the Republicans in the Senate, I would guess that he will. However, given his tanking poll numbers, the screaming unpopularity of his Big Bullshit Bill and the abject failure of his Iran attack, Republican senators may sense weakness and reject Bove before it's too late.

Katy Bolger's avatar

Republicans may "sense" weakness but they are so lily-livered they will DO NOTHING. Thomas Massie (House Rep Kentucky) spoke up against the bombing of Iran and a PAC was formed immediately by his own party to primary him. Let's see how long his righteousness holds out.

Exactly. The magats had a PAC ready to primary Massie the very next DAY!

Does Emil Bove remind anyne else of Roy Cohn, admired by Trump as a young "apprentice" because of his thorough flouting of whatever is true or just? [They have many similarities.]

One example: " In furtherance of an executive order signed by Trump, Bove fired DOJ staffers who were involved in upholding the law." That's the Trump way, lie, lie outrageously, to get what you want. Hopefully PI's report will prevent Bove from being approved to do anything for the U.S. Government.

Stephen Miller has been reminding me of Cohn, but you're right: Bove is definitely a contender for the (dis)honor.

Yeah, I read about this creep Bove's sh*t in the past few days and my primary MSM sources are NYT, Wapo, Boston Globe

Many people on this site keep harping on MSM's misses when I find that I get a lot of news that Judd is reporting on in some form with my three (and more) sources. Judd is an investigative reporter and although he puts this newsletter out quickly on these stories, he often is using other MSM media sources and going deeper or with different sources of his own. He does break his own stories but people like BOVE do not fly under the radar.

Judd works with the MSM, not outside of them. He gets his information right because much of his information is already sourced. This is not to disparage Judd, he needs his compatriots in those media sources. One man and his small crew could not do this, should not do this alone. There are probably 3-4K reporters working for NYT, Wapo and Boston Globe, not mention thousands more for LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald and other great American newspapers. Not all work in politics, of course, but let's not forget the work they are doing.

Also...if Trump and MAGA don't have to pay attention to the rulings of the judicial branch...why do we. At 300+ MM...what if we didn't abide by any future rulings from the supreme court? We are not at the 3.5% mark with 5MM yet, although I would think perhaps 88 to 74% know that what's going on is wrong...just need to get that out into the public sphere of collectively experienced information.

Oooh, a corrupt appointee to be judge. Well, I hope he doesn't get it. I guess that's all I can say. In other news, Iran seems to have gotten off pretty much scot free after our biggest bomb was laid on their famous nuclear site. Iran 1, US/Israel 0, but I read they are being conciliatory so at least it seems we scared them a little. Also, my sister in Virginia is still standing tall, despite a massive heat event over there. I hope she continues to survive. Global warming is such a PITA. And, here in Los Angeles, occupation by federal and ICE troop(er)s continues; I hope we survive this too.

The Iranians are publicly being slightly conciliatory and privately almost certainly finishing enrichment to make bombs.

They were prepared to Trump to do exactly what he did, and reportedly had their uranium stored in small containers that would fit in the trunk of an ordinary car. Took about ten cars.

There was nothing there when the bombers dropped their ordinances, which didn't even penetrate deeply enough to damage the facilities. Sealed off the main, known entrances, and that's it.

And in the process, the Trump regime showed the Iranians the limitations of the US's bunker buster ordinance, and showed the Iranians how deep to put their next facilities underground to be safe.

Frankly, the whole thing was a really stupid waste of money on our part, utterly destroyed any chance of real diplomacy, and provided trump with the excuse to tighten his own autocratic regime here at home.

ICE will be rounding up Iranian-American citizens, anyone Muslim (regardless of original country of origin and status of residency or citizenship), and grabbing even white American citizens on suspicion of being "Iranian sympathizers." Regardless of whether it's true or not.

That's how autocratic regime's work.

if we scheduled a national strike and all the honest and dedicated government workers quit, as opposed to waiting around to get fired, Trump and Peter would be left with their incompetent and corrupt thugs. These would be few in number and incapable of keeping the country running and the retail income stream would come to a halt. Corporations would go nuts...and Congress would have to act? The military would have to take notice and commit to one direction or another. the life they had under Biden was so much better than what they are presently experiencing under Trump for about 70 to 80%... who are not MAGA...but out for themselves?

Bove is apparently the subject of a bar grievance filed with the New York bar association. https://americanoversight.org/american-oversight-files-bar-complaint-against-deputy-ag-bove-for-corrupt-actions-in-dismissal-of-eric-adams-charges/

The charges arise from his dismissal of the criminal case against Eric Adams. Bar associations are notoriously slow in these matters, and do not seem to care much about the public interest. Perhaps it would help if they heard from angry New York residents. https://ww2.nycourts.gov/attorneys/grievance/complaints.shtml
