Does anyone in this administration even give a sh*t about security? ANYONE?

Yes, of course they do. Following an untraceable purchase of at least $35million in $TRUMP memecoins. Which will produce an immediate investigation, and possibly even a few FOX News segments. Any Presidential pardons that might be required arising from said investigation, will of course cost more.

Only of the bodyguard kind. As long as whatever they are doing generates personal income for themselves or someone they "owe", anything goes.

This is far worse than I imagined. China is determined to outdo the US & this fits perfectly with Musk’s ties to China. Might as well allow them to have a room in the White House & offices in the Pentagon.

I'm pretty sure that's what the "ballroom" is really for.

They're trying the ban TP Link routers for home use for this very reason. I suspect the majority of us aren't keeping critical data on US defense on our gaming PCs. It doesn't even make sense that the average consumer can't use devices that are considered easily compromised but xAI gives no fucks. Unfortunately, this is just the latest least surprising development ever in a never ending chain of "make it make sense" policy decisions by the powers that be. Rules for thee, not for me.

I guess it’s the “make billions not sense” boys.

Security. Security anyone? We have an active drunk leading the DOD who already leaks on the daily. Wouldn't be surprised if China and or Russia owns Signal. But hey, anything for a buck. What these greedy bastard billionaires dont realize is that the US military is why they have all the freedom to rape and pillage. With no secure govt, the communist regimes will rob them.

This seems.... terrible!! It's why I gladly subscribe, so someone is watching WTF is happening. Sunshine is a disinfectant, as they say. THANKS for your work.

Are we really unironically calling it the "Department of War" now without an act of Congress?? Do better.

I agree. The name is Department of Defense, and it cannot be changed without Congressional approval. Don't use "Department of War" any more than you would use "Gulf of America" instead of Gulf of Mexico. Language is powerful.

Why aren’t they referring to Hegseth as S.O.W.?

3/4th of all my purchases are from China so why wouldn't Muskrat not also have the same purchase history.

If this breach were contained only to xAI and had no national security repercussions, I wouldn't even blink. China kneecapping Leon alone doesn't trouble me. Them potentially rendering the nation defensively vulnerable is a whole other kettle of fish altogether.

⭐🇺🇸🇺🇦  “The Promise the World Didn’t Forget”

In a land full of echoes from struggles long past,

Where the truth must stand tall

and the lies never last,

A bright little promise still shines, glowing yet—

A vow from the world

we should never forget.

It came from a time when the globe stood as one,

When fascism’s darkness

was finally undone.

Our grandparents fought with a courage so true,

So tyrants would fall

and the daylight break through.

They crossed stormy oceans with fire in their eyes,

They challenged the strongmen

and silenced their lies.

Their bravery carved out the freedoms we keep—

A legacy guarding

the wakeful and deep.

And today in Ukraine, that courage returns,

In people defending

their homes as it burns.

They stand against Russia’s illegal parade,

A tyrant whose cruelty

the whole world has weighed.

We remember the moment the globe made its stand—

The Budapest promise,

the word of each land:

Ukraine gave its weapons so peace could take root,

And trusted the world

not to follow the brute.

But here in our homeland, confusion still spreads

Through FOX-colored lenses

and right-winger threads.

They shout “all is fine!” while the families cry,

As prices climb higher

and checks barely buy

Insurance, and food, and the basics of day—

While propagandists twist

what the numbers convey.

So the grandparents rise with a bright steady beat,

With phones shining fiercely

like lamps in the street.

They comment with courage, they post without fear,

They lift Indy media

the nation must hear.

They share what is fact-based, transparent, and clear,

They push back the lies

till the truth reappears.

Each repost a lantern, each comment a flame—

A spark from the past

with a new modern name.

From Normandy’s beaches to Kyiv’s brave stand,

From WW2 sacrifice

to thumbs in our hand—

The torch passes onward from challenge to threat,

For truth is a promise

the world won’t forget.

Are there any alternatives made in the US or other countries that don't have a track record infecting their products with spying hardware and software?

Musk isn't responsible for the American political establishment mistakes that have enabled China to take over entire markets for many products... the same mistakes that Democrats today are demanding we continue.

Maybe not responsible for the initial breach in the wall, where (dis)honours seem equally spread between the parties, but wow has he taken full advantage of it! Along with Apple and Walmart etc. And then, not content with the situation as it was, widening the breach with gusto.
