It’s important to remember that corporations are people and those people are HUUUUUGGGGEEEE assholes.

Actually the more I think about it and reflect on what I learned in that documentary from early 2000s “The Corporation”… corporations are, in fact, not people. But we gave them the protections of people legally and those corporate charters used to be very limited and regulated because we understood they are not people and because of that they will usually always do immoral things because they do not follow a conscience but instead are just built to make money for shareholders.

Starting to think a list of corporations standing by their “principles” might be a shorter list than this one.

This is what we have got to? Selling a T-shirt with a message of loving all is a radical act. Not a Kohl's shopper but super impressed by their "bravery."

Kate, Were you responding to Katy? Her comment wasn’t snarky. Re-read.

And thanks for this info. I stopped shopping at Target so this will be a good option for several things I used to purchase at Target.

From the looks of things as per Pop. Info article ‘Pride’ is on the DJT chopping block by many co.s. Maybe it is time to support (purchase!!) vs canceling. Retail is tough right now. If you weren’t a Kohl’s shopper- find something you can purchase from them!! Spread the word too. As per ‘Kate’ ‘s link. Thanks

Ultimately, they'd make MORE money anyway. Short sighted thinking inspired by quarterly profit estimates.

So much for a unified front, eh? It must really hearten you as an LGBTQIA+ employee of one of these companies to know that, when the chips are down, your employer will ultimately fold when faced with opposition to its stated principles.

'when the chips are down, your employer will ultimately fold when faced with opposition to its stated principles"

But until the chips are down, until the rubber meets the road, until they are actually asked to put up (not put out) or STFU, right up until the time they choose to fold the tent and back away slowly, they WILL say nice things to you and promise to help with anything you need until you really need it.

Now, corporate USA joins the cowardice of those who put money above all else when it comes to sexuality. Of course with a leader such as Donald Trump, a sexually unbalanced blowhard who has no appreciation on any deep level of the opposite sex would lead his country to condemn an honest look at universal sexuality. Law firms have been shamed by high level judges for their cowardly behavior--what will it take for corporate America to display courage and a universal appreciation of the human condition?

"what will it take for corporate America to display courage and a universal appreciation of the human condition?"

A little bit of empathy. A bit of gratitude for being able to have success in their lives! To consider that age-old adage, there but for the grace of god...

Of course, corporations put money above all else. That is the sole reason for a company's existence. And neo-liberalism has crushed all the other norms that led to regulation or any social restraint. Throw in Trump who actively attacks companies and individuals, then we end up with a corporate world that cannot wait to stop spending money on anything that benefits the community.

As consumers, the best we can do is boycot the most toxic brands and hope that sends a message to them all. The TakedownTesla movement have very effective made everything Musk toxic. But his ability to get gov subsidies may still allow him to survive. We need to keep the pressure on.

In an authoritarian regime, “undesirable” groups of people are disappeared from society. It starts slowly, as with Dear Leader signaling to companies to withdraw their support of Pride, and escalates from there. After the war on trans people it is no surprise that all LGBTQ+ people are a target.

Naive subjects believe they will never be targeted by the disappearings. They think it will always be “undesirable” others who are singled out. Until, one day, they too are on the list of undesirables.

Every single company or service provider listed here has a competitor. Confirm this report with the specific company and based on their response, boycott them. Be vocal! Let them know. Your loud voice encourages others to act and live the principles that we know are right and for which we’ve fought and voted. Our passivity is their win.

They do protest too damn much while making way for the useless losers they prefer.

The whole of this new "administration" is a very bad joke and their complaints about "DEI hires" fail to ring true as these guys (once again) actually do what they accuse others of.

In this case, they're using race to justify preferential treatment AND targeted mistreatment.
