What's so aggravating about Wright and his ilk moving to roll back renewable energy projects is that these endeavors lower energy costs and create jobs. Simply put, they're good for the economy on top of being more climate-conscious. But alas, we're committed to the most painful option for everyone not in bed with the fossil fuel industry.

China is putting a lot of research and development into renewable energy. In addition to destroying the environment, Trump and company are putting us behind technologically, and as a country, we will pay for it.

As a world, we'll pay for it.

The entire point is to inflate Fossil Fuel Corporation stock values. That's what the Big Oil/Gas/Coal CEO's are paying for with their political action budgets--90% of which goes to GOP politicians. When stock prices go up, so do the value of their stock options, and thus their payouts.

If these Fossil Fuel CEO's were actually smart, they'd be wholeheartedly investing in renewable projects and technologies. Instead of remaining mired in the past, and thinking only one Quarter ahead.

Fabulous and dearly needed reporting on the most crucial issue facing mankind!

Truth matters! Facts verify! Your reporting is all of that and more.

Our hope is people will defend and demand these projects go on. Keep letting the light shine in to this darkness we are living in. Thank you!

Never forget the old axiom about men supporting that which puts money in their pocket. Of course a fossil fuel guy is going to first lie about, then kill, renewable energy projects. Renewables are/were becoming cheaper than most fossil fuel power generators which directly threatens the wealth of the fossils. That said, they don't care about rising seas, stronger storms or all of the other impacts of climate change. If their gated communities don't save them, they'll be dead and gone long before the worst happens anyway. They just don't care. Being a millionaire or billionaire will do that to you.

OK when you let Mr. Fox into the hen house as the new butler. the new butler is going to eat the chickens. He will be well dressed, polite and well spoken but he is going to eat those birds. So fn sad we have come to this regressive place, turning back tenuous progress. I know many of these projects funded by the Inflation Reduction Act are in red states. Where is the uproar of jobs lost and dirty air and water returning? MAGA gets what they - cough cough - deserve but what about the other Americans who didn't vote for this?

Thank you Judd, and Emily Atkin, with assistance from Rebecca and Noel, for such an important in-depth examination of all of the renewable energy projects already being enacted. Did anyone realize how much preparation has been going on throughout our country to make our lives independent of polluting fossil fuels? We should be so impressed and proud of these invaluable developments that we take effective measures to protect "all energy technologies that can better human lives and reduce emissions”--exactly the words that the lying Energy Secretary Chris Wright when going through the confirmation process.

I agree with Valerie. Other articles are addressing the issue of people being snatched. This article is focused on the environmental impact of Trump and henchmen's policies, and THAT is a subject not being adequately covered.

MAGA-infested Republicans have used environmental issues, like vaccine issues, to rile up their base. Both have been particularly harmful in northern Indiana. Perhaps, the tariffs and cuts to farmers will finally get people's attention.

Well, seems pretty consistent. Trump doesn't like anything new-fangled or innovative and these are that. He and his cronies are a bunch of stick-in-the-mud fuddy duddies with not an ounce of creativity or imagination. Reminds me once again that Hitler was a failed artist.

Also, let's not forget he was confirmed by the yellow belly Congress. All of those congresspersons who voted for him need to talk to their constituents about lost jobs and dirty air. "Uh, uh, uh...."

I take it this is going to court? If funds were already appropriated by Congress, as were many others, isn’t it Congress that must vote to rescind? Where is the outrage? Where are our representatives? I call/write mine on a weekly basis asking them what are they doing?

They've gone one better. Now they follow a new school of thought.

The school of; "shriek loudly and stamp on your own dick," while blaming any and everyone else for the travails they've caused themselves to endure!

As the world is collapsing, and THEY are responsible, they are doing everything in their power to MAKE IT WORSE!!!!!! But, Mother Nature does not care, she is on her way and not one damn thing they will do or say will stop her!
