Meanwhile, FBI Association issues an unprecedented statement that Trump's FBI Director Patel has "disregarded the law & launched a campaign of erratic & arbitrary retribution" against agents & others for doing their jobs. "When leadership abandons due process it doesn't just erode trust--it makes Americans less safe". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAHdU-NtVZM

When you appoint a guy FBI director who has proclaimed his hatred of the FBI, a. health science denier head of your Health Dept, an alcoholic buffoon to instill "warrior spirit" in the Defense Dept...

"GOP" means "Incompetence." They've always been cruel; but even villains like Dick Cheney could get things done. Now, it's a clown car.

It's important to make this about the entire ruling party; not just Trumpism, which will likely pass before '28, when the cankles make JD Prez.

You want to know why RFK Jr's voice is so mangled? It appears to me it's related to the brain worm. I am no expert on brain worms. But voice is linked to the brain by cranial nerve 12. If you have a brain-eating worm... I think it's safe to assume that could affect the nerves that control so many of our daily movements. Like breathing, voice, etc., and when he opens his stupid mouth... I think "brain worm." https://www.simplypsychology.org/12-cranial-nerves.html

The fantasy world that Vance and the convicted felon live in must be wonderful for their self-soothing. Because we have eyes here in the real world and we can see what’s going on. Vance can drone on about his Haitian constituents eating pets or 35-year-old “kids” getting caught being pro-Nazi and blaming the people who caught them or dismissing the massive Blue wave as a couple of elections in Blue states. We know he’s a serial liar who lacks a spine.

That is a good list for evil Vance, the most blatant shape-shifting opportunistic a-hole to come around in a long time. But it is by no means the only asinine things he has said and done. The biography of VP JD Vance, will be a page turner and jaw dropper, when we get a full accounting of his sleaziness. But I am as confused about his sexuality as Mike Johnson is about his own. Is JD into girls, boys or sofas?

Boys with boyliner and cushions, yes, cushions. Ya think Usha got her & the kiddies' bags packed yet?

There are two schools of thought on Usha Vance. The first is that she has got the bags packed, the movers in place and her resume out to liberal leaning law firms. The second is that she is in on it, a heartbeat away from the presidency, and I guess the old adage, "power corrupts" is at play. Of course, if she leaves him, we will all look at her with new and admiring eyes. If she doesn't, well, marriage is a racket and she's playing the long game.

"Marriage is a racket" is one of my favorite lines from Mad Men. Pete says it when he realizes Betty has taken Don to the cleaners in the divorce.

As an additional bellwether - my town of Bridgewater NJ has had an all-Republican town council for decades. Yesterday three out of five seats were on the ballot, and all went to dems, flipping control.

We’re also part of the 7th congressional district, currently R, but very flippable. Our rep, Tom Kean Jr, is completely aligned with Trump and should be running scared into the midterms.

Very pleased to see the wins at the higher offices but really hopeful at the state and county positions that were flipped. This is where it starts folks. Get out the vote!

In a way, this is more reassuring then the marquee elections. People got out and they voted against the Republicans who are doing the bidding of White Nationalist Christians. If you want God in your school, go to a religious school. If you want to ban books, go to North Korea. If you want to charge kids for lunch, go to hell.

In rural, red Oswego County, NY, Dems picked up 6 seats in the county legislature-up from 1! In the city of Oswego, the council will now be 3 Ds, 3 Rs, and 1 other. Didn’t flip either governing body, but inroads were made! It gave me hope and reinforcement to continue to work hard. Now to work on getting rid of Claudia Tenney….

And most of us are still upright to see it happen. We knew that most Americans, even the uninvolved, would not like to see their rights stripped away, their neighbors brutally carted away or the excesses of the Trump family.

Yes, the election results this week were encouraging. But most of those races were not affected by the massive voter suppression tactics implemented by Republican’s in multiple states prior to the 2024 election that almost certainly tipped the scales to Trump. Black, brown and asian people’s votes were cancelled by tactics first used by the KKK in the 1930’s and implemented with precision with logarithm’s not available then. Plus, just a couple months ago a single person, Scott Leiendecker, purchased Dominion Voting Machine company. Dominion voting machines are used in 28 states. Mr. Leiendecker is a Republican from Missouri. What can possible go wrong? And why hasn’t this been widely reported in the “main-stream-media?”

Good points. I saw a small mention somewhere but where is the hysteria one could expect say if George Soros bought Dominion. The name Dominion is enough to make a trumper get frisky.

If Soros had purchased Dominion Trump would have declared martial law and prohibited all future federal elections.
