Last Friday, the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security, Kevin McAleenan, said that reports of poor conditions for migrants detained along the southern border were "unsubstantiated." But a report by the Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security, issued in May and published by NBC News on Monday, shows McAleenan was lying.
