DOGE was never about efficiency or eliminating unnecessary costs. Like everything else about the Trump admin, the destruction of the US was the point.

Yes, DOGE is the result for helping him get elected (despite not winning the 7 swing states), as Putin told Musk--and reported in the news--tell Trump he owes us. They both want the destruction of our United States of America because they had so little power over us. Now Russian IT has access to our personal data:

Daniel Berulis on DOGE Breach : Russian IPs Allegedly Accessed ... - MSN

A whistleblower named Daniel Berulis has come forward with troubling claims about a possible security breach in U.S. government systems. Berulis says that certain computer systems, known as DOGE ...

Just curious, why isn’t your report on the front page of the Washington Post? Or the NY Times? This would make a very good segment on CBS’s 60 Minutes too. Oops!, That won’t happen anymore.

The “main-stream-media” brought us Trump 1.0 by ignoring his constant lies because it was “good for the bottom line.” Now they refuse to report facts because they fear retaliation.

Thank you for having the courage to keep us informed.

Answer? because people get killed. Except Trump because people who have hearts don't want Trump and Musk threatened, tortured, and killed. That's Putin's way.

As with the Trump administration's basis for tariffs, the math isn't mathing. We've got a bad combination of reckless and stupid in the White House right now.

Any mention of DOGE spending cuts always brings me heartache--we know that many worthy people have abruptly lost their jobs, and that withdrawn funding has brought deprivation and harm to those who have depended on our care--USAID, Dept of Education (children and teachers), Vets. And, those we depend upon: IRS, SSA, Health agencies and research in many areas CDC, Universities, etc.

Thank you, Judd, and Caleb, for your intensive devoted research to find the truth and additional information among the swamp of lies and deceit. You are major participants in finding our way out of this authoritarian takeover.

I am mostly concerned about the information they are stealing! No one is talking about that. Has the ruckus in these agencies just been a smokescreen for stealing personal info? Does anyone know what they have taken and what they are doing with it, what they will do with it? Should we be making new bank accounts and cancelling old ones? Credit cards? What about our social security numbers?

I will bet you that even if you do set up new accounts it won't help unless you don't use them for anything having to do with the government, including paychecks. And even then I'm skeptical. Anything with your SSN on it is vulnerable, and you can't set up an account without one.

Thank you for your penetrating the veil and reminding us that DOGE is a dark fraud being inflicted by the Republicans on the American people.

So far, Minnesota has had over $282m in funding cut by the administration (our Governor created a handy site to track it: https://mn.gov/mmb/budget/federal-investments/data-and-reporting/)

So, to see our funding cut, while there are no tangible savings at the federal level is scary. Clearly critical research, education, human services, environmental projects and other resources are being cut that directly impact the people the government serves while neither the national debt, the cost of goods and services for the general population, or other metrics remain high. We can all guess where the savings is going.

I wondered how their claimed $160 billion looked as a percentage of their $1 trillion target. It's 16%.

Looking at the $12.6 billion as a percentage of that same $1 trillion target we only get 1.26% of target reached.

Until we can calculate the cost of dealing with all the services lost and all the jobs lost and the cost of any replacement of departments as needed costs, I just don't see any real value to the whole exercise.

Why, on earth, would media literate folks, like those who read Judd’s posts, believe anything that oozes up out of Trump’s propaganda cesspit. Even without Judd, most of us knew Musk’s claims were hyperbole on steroids. Judd does give us the estimated amount of total BS over fact. For that, week owe ‘thanks’.

Very interesting article. And much more believable that the trumusk claims. BUT this messaging needs to get to all Americans and soon, The .17% savings, yet the huge impact (negative) on so much of the world population and our own way of life. The graph of Biben vs Trump actual spending needs to be bill boarded across the country and shown on FOX channel

Get this on billboards so citizens who do not already believe this administration is destructive or who do not already read the WSJ become aware. The Democrats will NOT be able to convey this information - democrats are unable or unwilling to explain this information in a way people understand.

I think some of the younger Dems are doing a good job talking about it. The older ones are just plain embarrassing.
