Well, as of last night the White House has reversed its position, and will continue to target these establishments. I guess Stephen Miller is the one in charge.

If ICE disrupts Big Ag much more, there will not only be major business losses--with concurrent defections of formerly loyal GOP donors--but work stoppages will result in emptying store shelves. And an increase in inflation.

Along with the inflationary spike soon to hit as a result of Trump's Tariff-ageddon, a rising consumer price index is pretty much the only thing that will pierce the bubble in which the FOX-addled Base lives, convinced their Leader can do no wrong.

But for truly devout GOP donors at risk of watching their business go deep into the red without its work force, there is another path to economic salvation: a modest $30 million or so purchase of #Trump crypto tokens can buy an immediate ICE carve-out, guaranteeing its pesky agents move their activities to Blue-run states and cities.

They better act fast! It's been said ice will be broke next month.

That's right! Pony up your untraceable purchase of $30 million in #Trump memecoins NOW, because YOUR business could be NEXT! Whether you own a meatpacking plant, a five-star hotel or just a large construction business, why risk bankruptcy and financial ruin, when a trifling $30 million crypto gift to your Favorite President can ensure ICE agents instead your competitor's businesses? Or even leave your state entirely! Don't wait, purchase #Trump crypto today!

I guess we'll know next month, won't we? I can't imagine congress giving them additional funds when they've run through what their budget was already. They can't last 6 months?

As usual, you have given teeth to a story others only cover superficially. Also, as usual, note that all of 47’s policies are based on a) personal gain or b) resentments.

Get rid of Miller. That should be #1 to protect these unfortunate immigrants. "Undocumented" shouldn't be a target on their backs.

The issue of immigrants being a problem was cooked up by Rupert Murdoch and his minions at FOX “News,” the Wall Street Journal and the NY Post as an “issue” in Trump’s 2016 campaign for President. It was false then and it is false now, but Murdoch and his minions have stoked the flames with the drip, drip, drip of half-truths, misinformation and outright lies.

Murdoch, and FOX, are singularly responsible for half the country believing tax cuts for billionaires is good for the economy (they aren’t), Global Warming is a hoax (it isn’t), vaccines are more dangerous than the virus (they aren’t) and Democrats are demons and Republican’s will save our country (both false).

Murdoch, and FOX, have driven a wedge between people of good will with their constant bombardment of misinformation and lies as “news” making a mockery of the 1st Amendment, which was intended to guarantee the free press would be able to publish facts instead of fiction. They are responsible for the demise of our democracy.

Yes, Murdoch has been manipulating our citizens for far too long and because he's gotten away with it, all the baby Murdochs have grown up to be podcasters and influencers saying anything that they want under the guise of freedom of speech. Murdoch should have been removed a long time ago.

Until we arrest and prosecute the owners of these companies who continue to get richer off the sweat and labor and horrific injuries of the undocumented, these practices will continue. If they could not get jobs, they would not come.

These companies, in using undocumented laborers, exploiting them with low wages and zero safety protections, are also undermining labor unions and the labor movement in the US. American workers get lower wages and fewer benefits and protections as a direct result. This goes right along with their agenda of extracting maximum profit from their expendable human capital. They are keeping the rest of us oppressed and fighting for scraps as well while all of the profit goes directly into their bank accounts, private equity investments, etc. It's all by design.

And millions of Mcdonalds egg sandwiches would not be pre-made for America's breakfast of choice. Gazillions of chickens are consumed everyday in America by people and their pets: who the f is going to wring those chicken's necks if the immigrants get kicked out? (Asked by a 50-years vegetarian).

He's deporting ppl here legally. He's a racist shit who now has us in a world war. And he wasn't even really elected. https://thecommoncoalition.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/TheCommonCoalitionReport_5.14_NM.pdf 2026 won't do it in this realm. We need to wake up again from a different nightmare.

You mean he's deporting people illegally? Disappearing, kidnapping, human trafficking people off the streets, sending them to other countries, isn't legal. Everyone is allowed due process according to the US Constitution.

“[W]e must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York”

This is the most important sentence in the entire piece. Trump clearly hopes to provoke these cities into actions which will allow him to replicate what he’s done in LA in Chicago and NYC. It is imperative that protests not provide that pretext.

I agree. Trump is expanding his "enemies base" to include anyone living in a blue city. He is drawing clear lines as to who is protected and who is not.

As the summer intensifies, he hopes for unrest, dissent and possibly riots. He drools over the thought of American soldiers shooting and killing Democrats. I bet Steve Miller crawls into bed with Trump at the end of the day to show him pictures of brown skinned people who got deported TODAY!!

Trump played this game with so-called sanctuary cities in his first term. The criteria was not undefined. After months of “review”, my city in KY and has a Dem mayor was taken off the list to have all federal funding pulled. This is like deja vu all over again - plus military troops.

This time he is identifying them as “Democrat” cities. The National Sheriffs Association was extremely upset this time. They called the website list ‘arbitrary’ and complained about the sketchy criteria. It was taken down but Noem defended it. We can be sure it is still ‘arbitrary.’

It all comes down to lining Trump's pockets. The only real surprise (and it's not a surprise) is that the mainstream media doesn't cover this. It's hiding in plain sight!

Keep protesting but do it right..

Don’t break the law. Be smart…

If someone is show the police they are not part of your right to protest lawfully.

Just like tariffs we see the Trump Tango danced again. 1) Overreach in sweeping fashion causing chaos. 2) When the backlash inevitably hits, make noises about scaling back. 3) Quietly continue the original action. The fact that poultry farming is involved does add an entendre to the Trump Always Chickens Out formulation.

I guess we can add these large donors to the “OMG Betrayed!” ranks of Trump voters.

Thanks for documenting this. The issue has been used by the GOP for votes while stomping on solutions - for over a decade. Stephen Miller was a congressional aide to Jeff Sessions. They worked hard to scuttle the immigration compromise bill by the Gang of 8, in 2013.

Little has changed except we now have a president who telegraphed his desire to be a ‘dictator on day 1’ and has acted on it. His stated criteria for selective enforcement is “Democrat” cities — in IL and NY even though states with the largest undocumented immigrant populations after CA are TX and FL.

He’s put in place people like Noem to do his bidding. Her statement at a press event prompted Senator Padilla to ask a question and be taken to the floor and put in handcuffs. The statement?

She said in part — “We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate this city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor had placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city.”
