The best part of that whole article was the revelation at the end that MTG is among the fleecees. Mind you, the whole thing was a beautiful example of reporting financial chicanery, but that cherry on top... *chef's kiss*
I rented "The English Patient" one night about 25 years ago and watched it by myself. I cried aloud, and then began to laugh at the sound of my sobs. It went back and forth like that for a few long seconds. Your article today made that happen again, but in reverse, where I laughed at first, and now I'm bawling from the overwhelm. How truly terrible can a person be?
Thank you so much for exposing all that's gone into this Trump venture. But, profound thanks for so much humor...haven't laughed this much for more than 24 hours! e.g., "But don't worry, if Josh A departs for greener pastures, TMTG can rely on their Chief Product Officer (CPO) Billy B." And, Devin Nunes!?...well, he has name recognition. I'm curious to know whose brainchild this venture owes its birth to. Wonderful responses from your readers (below)!
TRUMP is an expert fleecer. He pulled the wool over 74 million pairs of eyes in 2020. Then they donated about 2/3rds of what he owed after his big loss to Biden. Now he is the wolf in sheep's clothing heading out to create a new version of Trump University. This time its in the field of psuedo social media. Same shell with no pea game- big bucks from the suckers to line the pockets of Trump and Co. And surprise,
Marj and Devin are part of the suckers. Hope Matt Gaetz is, too.
Nice to know my instinct was right: Trump is incapable of launching a genuine business and in the media field he wouldn't let any of his more competent enablers do the job.
A FOUNTAINHEAD of support for American freedoms? Sound more like an endless fountain of horse poop to me. —It’s beyond impossible to satirize this “former guy” - I eagerly await the securities fraud indictment.
The author of Art of the Deal laid out how most of trumps wealth is a mirage…
He owns naming rights but not majority owner of most of his buildings, for example. Other insiders note his failed companies like trump steaks, trump university, etc were never truly companies, but grifts from barely legal bilking of investors & students, & after earning a few bucks for himself, they shudder.
This sounds like another grift - relying on branding & gullibility.
Trump steaks sucked. My brother-in-law was gifted five pounds of the things. He's a great cook and couldn't even make good stew meat out of them. I remember reading something about Sharper Image selling the steaks and the CEO saying his dog wouldn't eat the them.
A mastodon is an "extinct elephantine mammal", so the name is really a good fit in connection with a Donald Trump enterprise.
How I love real life satire.
What is amazing is that it writes itself regularly.
Marjorie Three Names losing money just makes me smile................
A 6-time bankrupt reality TV host as Chairman and a 20-year former congressman with an agricultural degree and no actual farming experience as CEO.
How many ways can this go wrong?
"And the grift goes on, the grift goes on ..." (with apologies to Sonny & Cher).
Sounds like a scam to avoid FEC campaign finance disclosure laws…

🤌🏼
You did a great job of unpacking that hot mess and we thank you for it. Unfortunately it's just another snake oil sale to his gullible followers.
I'm guessing other insurrectionist congress critters will be encouraged to follow Margie's lead and invest. Let the fleecing begin!
You know what they say about fools and their money......JFC
Any idiot still contributing to this criminal grift deserves to lose whatever they contribute.

Thank you Judd!

Smoke & mirrors, misdirection, bold claims & outright lies…
