Add another count to the lengthening list of offenses any normal president would get impeached for.

Linda Weide's avatar

Let us hope that Trump faces an international tribunal because he is guilty of war crimes.

Hope breathes eternal…

My hope is that Congress fixes presidential immunity, because until they do, impeachment is off the table.

NanceeM's avatar

Immunity relates to legal actions. Impeachment is a political process, so is not impacted by immunity. Impeachment is off the table only because Republicans won't convict, and that's a problem unlikely to shift any time soon.

Article II, Section 3 defines presidential duties

Article II, Section 4 defines treason

Doubt the SC 'immunity' decision extends to failure on either of these clauses.

Any constitutional lawyers out there?

Fifteen of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers were from Saudia Arabia. The Binladen Construction Company, while in financial straits and taken over by the government could be a builder on the new branded Trump properties in Saudia Arabia. We know that MBS feels complete impunity from his role in the killing of Kashoggi, an American citizen and journalist hacked to death on his orders.

And yet, the man with the brown skin cutting my lawn is the feared enemy?

Frau Katze's avatar

It’s completely illogical.

James Abrego Garcia's avatar

Just in the interest of accuracy, Khashoggi was actually beaten and strangled to death, before his body was cut into pieces by use of a bone saw, with those pieces probably then being dissolved in acid. When felon47 insults journos, he's probably fantasising about doing the same thing.

In any other moral universe when a murderer and a pedophile walk into a room they would be in orange jumpsuits in front of a bar separating them from a judge. But in our universe, they play with models (both kinds) and make billions of dollars building the most god awful ugly pretentious neighborhoods.

Testimonies to poor taste that will not stand the test of time!

What a GRIFT. This democracy is being destroyed by Fascist Oligarchs—WHO RUN THE RNC. The RNC is an organized crime syndicate and EVERY LAST REThug in office is paid by them. That’s why they shrug and make deals with The Felon. And to think we have “Americans” willing to kill civilians on Trump’s behalf. TREASON. TREASON. TREASON.

RZAngel's avatar

Don’t leave out Justice Roberts & his conservatives who bow down to oligarchs to line their own pockets & gave us dark money in our politics with Citizens United & immunity to the worst, most unlawful president in our history.

Tanks to use against the American people or our traditional allies. We have 77 million fearful, hate-filled voters to thank for this.

He and his administration are just getting bolder and bolder in flouting the law. Will they ever be held accountable? I want to see him pay, and very badly, but it just feels like they’re getting away with whatever they want.

Not by this Congress; not by this Supreme Court. The checks and balances theory of the Constitution has failed. Those opposed to the Constitution in 1787 argued that it would. They lost, but they were right. Many of us and the Democrats are counting on a change to Congress in 2027, but Trump won't allow free or fair elections. Nor with the Supreme Court. They will end the VRA this summer, and red states will redistrict every Dem out of office. If there are elections, and Dems win the House and perhaps the Senate, Trump will cry "Fraud" and demand that Thune and Little Mikey refuse to seat the Dem winners in Jan. 2027. And I predict they will comply. I see only two things that will hold the felon accountable. One, his death by natural causes. Two, he creates or allows some catastrophe--economic, physical, military--to occur that is so bad that he loses all popular support. What that would be, an event so bad that even MAGA deserts him, is frightening to imagine. And, maybe there's a third thing...in the Epstein documents.

But wait. What about Hunter Biden's laptop? I'm waiting for the NYT and WaPo updates for my false eqivalence fix.

Hillary's emails!🙄

Adam's avatar

There is an Epstein shaped comeuppance on the horizon. Wait! Is MBS (Mr. BullShit) in it too? Why, yes. Yes he is!

Could someone with more interest in Saudi Arabia than me provide some insight as to the habitability of that part of the world in—oh say—10, 15 years?

Jodi's avatar

The hypocrisy is mind blowing but what can we as a nation do about it? Trump...his administration...Republicans in office are doing whatever they want without any oversight. Trump has zero morality so that will not keep him from acting criminally.

EN's avatar

In bed with the Saudis? I'm shocked 🤣 Sorry, I just can't take this too seriously or I wouldn't survive. Keep doing what you're doing. 💜 If we're lucky, Trump will be in a newly minted MBS body bag before long. 😉

There will be trials.

Bottomless corruption at the taxpayer's expense! The USA gives this murderous Prince and Nation taxpayer-funded war machines and tech, while Trump benefits personally. I want wretch at how Cingress doesn't rein him in or hold him accountable. I'll be making more calls to Congress today. Adding this to my list, thanks to you, Judd and your Team of fine investigators!

Trump Saudi Arabia catering to the pedophile class there?

VALERIE MELUSKEY's avatar

I learned a great deal about that class back when I was a member of the Princeton Middle School East Society (a few decades ago). Many of the members were former diplomates who lived in various Middle East countries.

Don't believe your lying eyes. No grift here. Just a regular ho hum day in POTUS' world that we all get to get to be a part of or at least revel in from afar. (For anyone not attuned to sarcasm, this is a heavy dose of it!)
