Rob Reiner, an actor, writer, and director, and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, a photographer and producer, were found dead at their home in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Parker Molloy had an excellent piece yesterday in The Present Age about the difference in the reactions and consequences for Trump vs. everyday people following the deaths of Charlie Kirk and Rob Reiner. In America in 2025, not mourning Kirk can get you fired, but disgracing Reiner's legacy is fair game. Sickening stuff.
Thank you for highlighting these specific ways that Rob Reiner made a difference for good in this world. I didn’t know about them. Rob Reiner was a real mensch. I know of no greater compliment.
Funny how the same people who said you should be fired from your job if you attacked Charlie Kirk for his beliefs will defend Trump for attacking Reiner for his.
Thank you for showing that Mr. Reiner’s politics went far beyond tRUmp, and were long standing. The causes were diverse, and yet not. To me, the underlying theme in all were fairness and dignity. The world, but particularly our decency, has lost another two good people. May the RIP, and their family find closure eventually.💔
I watched Spinal Tap 2 on Sunday and Spinal Tap on Monday then heard Rob Reiner had died. Difficult to reconcile the two things. What shame that drugs and violence was the last chapter for such a peaceful man. RIP.
Thank you for this history of Rob Reiner's political advocacy, which also demonstrates his effective strategies (bipartisan) for bringing about change. We need to continue his work and employ his methods.
Thank you for sharing Rob Reiner's inspirational history with us all. He was an honorable human being. His light will be missed.
Going to track down “God & Country.” Reiner was an artist in the truest sense, open and active with his gifts.

RIP Mr and Mrs Reiner. May your contributions to our humanity be long remembered.

Check Heather Cox Richardson's column. She also mentions his directing of "he American President".
Losing the Reiners is tragic, shocking, and totally unexpected. Trump's reaction is disgusting, shocking, and totally expected.

May their memory be for a blessing. May we learn and be inspired. 💔
Americas' loss. Let's hope people check out what he has contributed to us, and try to implement the good he has left for us.

Thank you, for this thoughtful and informative piece about a man who journeyed through life with conviction and pizzazz...

Next watch The American President.
Rob Reiner will be all over our Christmas viewing list.
A heavy, heartbreaking loss

We are going to miss the Reiners and their work. May they be an inspiration to the rest of us.
