Judd, Great Reporting Again & Again

The most pressing question:

When will this Country Wake Up…

Right now roughly 80% of conservatives believe that crime and unemployment are at all-time highs, that inflation remains as high as it was two years ago. That we're already in recession. That Democrats abort (murder) babies after birth; and that *we* are behind the millions of illegals in this country, so we can give them the vote to steal elections. That the (non-RW) MSM is "the enemy of the people". They honestly believe in all/most of this nonsense.

Trump will grift off our govt once again. How stupid we have become as a country. I'm afraid of what we will get in return.

I think that while it is grift, the word implies smaller time than what he will be doing, which is wholesale sale of everything he can get his hands on in the US. I am sure he would hire out our military to Putin, NATO, Xi, or Taiwan if he thinks he can make money off of it. I am sure the US military will not be allied with anyone, but used as a mercenary force to the highest bidder that pays Trump to stay in his hotels, or buys his merchandise for billions.

How can this abuse of power and grifting end? He will bankrupt our country like all his businesses. It is so ridiculous that he is getting full reign to do whatever the hell he wants. What can stop him?

Here comes a pardon for SEC fraud. Was there ever before a time in this country's history where ordinary citizens like me felt so dirty just for being an American and watching the fraud happen in real time?

Only the first of what is certain to be a long series of bribes paid directly to Trump. And after one or two more the corporate media will just ignore them, because Trump will be Trump. While he is far from being a real billionaire today, you can be sure he will be a multibillionaire when he leaves office.

Thank you for investigating the crypto world--I do not think that even the WSJ understands this kind of finance. So, that could be the reason there's no evidence of reporting it from major news outlets. They understand paying an exhorbitant amount for a duct taped banana, but not what bitcoin means for our economy.

Anyone else think this is like Alice In Wonderland...where nothing makes sense? It's as if Justin Sun Tron knows how to perform like a bot and Trump is none the wiser.

Respectfully disagree in part. I just did a Duck Duck Go search on "NYT crypto" and got a large variety of links in response. It is not the complexity of the topic but rather the editorial policy that is responsible for the continued under reporting of T's criminality.

Thanks Stephen...I just looked that up and read. Not much of substance to read, but that could be my deficiency as far as appreciation. And, I'm "guessing" that no one in the editorial realm knows enough to promote crypto as anything other than subject to arbitrary and unstable finance issues (perfect for Trump).

It is a lot to digest, but it definitely makes sense. We are entering a new era of corruption that hasn’t been seen since the gilded age.

That’s why you hire investigative journalists so that you do understand this type of reporting. They chose not to for obvious reasons.

This seems like the exact sort of thing the major media outlets should be covering, if nothing else, to appeal to the anti-Trump crowd. Instead, as you noted, we get multiple stories about the banana stunt, and we'll likely get umpteen instances of hand-wringing about Joe Biden pardoning his son. Grotesque.

Thanks, Judd. To quote a famous American, "Who knew?" The answer is often, "Judd Legum."

Thank you. I need to understand the whole crypto industry better. What I want to learn is how crypto affects those of us who have no interest in it. If anyone feels like chiming in, go for it!

The guy's not even in office yet and this is just a preview of what the future is going to bring. The breaches of ethics, leveraging government for one's own benefit and selling crypto, Bibles or you name it is going to skyrocket off the charts.

I can't think of a better description of corporate media. Obsessed with a banana as the world burns.

This must be where the term, "Banana Republic" came from.

Hang on folks, we'll soon be broke.

A rotting banana seems like the perfect emblem for the new DT administration. Any artists out there?

Thank you Judd.

Another day, another grift. Nothing changes, and I am no longer surprised...just distressed.

My answer at the Thanksgiving table: "Let's touch base next year and see if you're still happy."

Now tRUMP will have the money to pay his civil judgements. Make him pay.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 7 of the constitution limits compensation for the president to a salary not to be raised during his term. Anything of value received other than that salary is prohibited. This was intended to be a guard against corrupt persons trying to use the presidency for personal financial enrichment, but the will to enforce the constitution has been destroyed by MAGA.

Where will it all end? We are moving fast to get to where?

It will end when he dies. His father lived to a ripe old age, and that may be the case for the monster. However, the monster is a lot less healthy.

Moving fast to a world where a few psychopath computer nerds have all the money and run the world, along with a handful of billionaires who also happen to be psychopaths. Club P (or Club G(reed) or Club P(ower) or Club H(eartless))
