I am glad that Galindo lost the runoff, but that she made it as far as she did espousing antisemitic tropes *as a Democrat* is obviously concerning. It's reminiscent of a GOP robocall operation a few years back, urging African-American voters to not forget to vote on Wednesday, November 4th. When, of course, election day is ALWAYS on a Tuesday. A few Republican operatives went to jail for that one.

It was a dirty nasty campaign by both GOP candidates in KY. Both used AI generated ads. We see the same nastiness in TX and can see what it will be like for the general around the country. As for spines, Massie is known contrarian who’s gotten bolder over the years. The Epstein files cast a big shadow over leadership & the WH.
I think this was also about getting rid of the Freedom Caucus which outlived its GOP usefulness but remained a thorn in leadership’s behind & an aggravation to the WH. MTG is gone. Massie soon. Gaetz is relegated to reporting for One America News. 🙃 This primary in the 4th District of KY for the GOP had an estimated price tag of about $35M. A district where for the primary & general election in 2024 Massie raised only $1.3M and won both. In 2026, all the powerbrokers and their grievances coalesced.
Drumpf’s endorsement opened the floodgate$. Massie had introduced the AIPAC Act (Americans Insist on Political Agent Clarity Act) to require groups working on behalf of other countries to influence government policy to report to the U.S. Department of Justice. That, his votes against funding foreign wars, weapons to Israel & the war in Iran drew million$ — $3M from Republican Jewish Coalition Victory Fund 3M. At least $9M directly from AIPAC and more through other PACs) Much of it flooding the airwaves & accusing him of being an antisemite.
The current era makes the campaigns of Huey Long seem tame in comparison. Politics has always been a dirty business, but somehow in recent years, we have been lulled into believing it is not. Great report, Judd.
This is the absolute truth. Elections that are influenced by money cannot be "free and fair" in a country where there is such disparity in access to resources.
This is investigative journalism at its finest! Though it's not surprising those certain folk would stoop so low to try to win elections, this is a case where they actually tried to hide their tracks... and ultimately failed thanks to your amazing work.
