Of course the DOJ and FBI will do nothing no matter how bad it gets but is there no other avenue to challenge and stop this?

Am I on the side of Scotts Valley? Not really. This legal fight seems most consequential for the parties involved, and I don't have any particular regard for these casinos other than as revenue generators for these tribes.
The biggest takeaway for me is an illustration of what it costs financially to peddle influence in Washington and the aggressiveness of firms like Miller's in pressing their clients' agenda. This is what business looks like in D.C.
