So what I believe is this, military’s leaders are not mythical beings imbued with higher integrity or acumen. They should be subject to the same critical judgement as the rest of us. And when they don’t like what they are being asked to do or the lives they are ending because of their “orders” they should resign. It may not change the outcome but at least it will mean they stood for something.

As for ‘they could resign’ - Military leadership resignations this term I’ve heard of: October 2025, Admiral Holsey, commander of U.S. Southern Command. Marine Colonel Krugman, September 2025, resigned and wrote an op-ed published in WaPo.
