I know the subject of this piece is a serious breach of ethics on the part of Trump and his administration, but I can't get past the "Have Dinner with Trump" accompanying art, which I'm assuming is AI-generated. To say this is a flattering rendition is the understatement of the century.

Kristy Smith's avatar

Was coming in here to question that AI image 😂 Yikes!!!

BTAM Master's avatar

Having dinner with Trump would cause me to lose weight too...I'd be too nauseated to eat.

Adam's avatar

Looks like his (trump's) head on top of hegseth's torso doesn't it?

Joseph Mangano's avatar

Whichever torso it is, it looks unnatural. 😂

Adam's avatar

An AI hallucination perhaps?

Elizabeth Ratkovich's avatar

His jawline looks remarkably like Kegseth’s.

Jane Fisher's avatar

That's the first thing I noticed, as well. Does he actually see this image when he looks in a mirror?😂

Joseph Mangano's avatar

The less I know about how his mind works, the better, LOL.

Jane Fisher's avatar

A mind like a sand trap

I can sum up everything I think about this administration in one word: YUCK!

Flora McG's avatar

or the other word that rhymes with Yuck that starts with an "F".

Jesus if this is not impeachable what is? Even a knuckle dragging magat can see this is no way to treat the presidency. The whole thing is organized crime operating in plain sight out of the White House, Trump Tower and Mar a Lago. What a country.

Warren and Schiff gotta stay LOUD on this one.

kdsherpa's avatar

"The whole thing is organized crime operating in plain sight out of the White House, Trump Tower and Mar a Lago." BINGO!

VALERIE MELUSKEY's avatar

Revolting! Well, a revolt would be appropriate. The Beatles told us all years ago, "Money can't buy you love" but this pathetic man still doesn't know that, and thus places wealth as the highest value he comprehends.

Thank you, Judd, we need to know the dpths to which our nation is falling.

BTAM Master's avatar

True, but money can buy ice-cream, which isn't a bad consolation prize...and might explain why AI was needed for Trump's picture.

Joe Weicher's avatar

If only Trump limited his obsessions to good old corruption. I’ll take that over cruelty any time. But with Trump, we get both.

Katie Galvin's avatar

At this point there are so many impeachable offenses! I really wish Congress would move on it while the courts go after his lawless and grotesque administration and we march in protest

Katy Bolger's avatar

At the midterms, Democrats should be ready to go, locked and loaded and going for bear. We must assume that there is a committee of Dems who are working on each impeachable offense RIGHT NOW. When the Congress tilts toward justice, we will then see if any Republicans will grab their chance to rid themselves of the vermin that are crawling through the WH.

NanceeM's avatar

I don't know what universe you are inhabiting. Of course we are way beyond the line of impeachable offenses, and crimes even, but Trump is not going to be removed this way. There are not 67 Senators who would go for this, period. They wouldn't even convict him of insurrection, and the numbers are even worse now. It's frustrating, but that's reality.

Katie Galvin's avatar

Yes, let's hope they will do the right thing

Adam's avatar

"We will then see if any Republicans will grab their chance to rid themselves of the vermin that are crawling through the WH."

And if they can't find the stones, perhaps their fear of The People will grow to be greater than thir fear of the constant criminal currently occupying the People's House!

Robert's avatar

Judd, A difficult subject to break down but you did it.

Thank you again! Just Great reporting.

The question remains will the courts hold or will they surrender? The former I pray.

Adam's avatar

Hopefully. I'll be out protesting and will continue calling the mopes, I mean representatives and grinding them down with repetition like water on stone.

The media had a huge fit about the Clintons having friends who had also donated to his campaign — Barbra Streisand for example — stay at the White House. They knew the Reagans had done the same thing but it was a huge offense for the Clintons, and only the Clintons.

C. Jacobs's avatar

I was coming here to say the same thing. I remember the pearl-clutching over the Clinton's Lincoln bedroom rentals and people huffing about them taking the silverware with them, or some such claim. This guy's running the scene from Goodfellas, where the liquor and furs are dropped off from box trucks at the front of the restaurant and sold out back, and no one says a peep. Ridiculous double standard.

Janet Jeffers's avatar

He’s made of Teflon. None of his crimes or transgressions has resulted in him paying any real price. What will it take to bring him down? I ask with all sincerity.

Adam's avatar

The Wile E. Coyote moment that is coming for all of them! That is what will bring them down. Their own hubris will provide the means to destroy them.

JOEL's avatar

Scum Trump is not JUST a FRAUD, he's also a TRAITOR. Pray every day for Scum Trump to suffer a massive debilitating stroke or a massive fatal heart attack. Liar, Fraud, Con, Traitor, Fascist Trump is destroying the U.S.A. and our Senators and Congresspeople are doing absolutely nothing to stop that. Disgusting.

Elizabeth Block's avatar

But do we want President Vance?

Pamela Jolley's avatar

If Trump wants to do it, it’s not illegal! How long will his blatant disrespect for our country continue?! The people who send money to this scheme are pitiful.

Katy Bolger's avatar

Yes, Pamela, they are pitiful but from their point of view YOU (and I) are the pitiful ones, living a lawful life like the suckers we are. Hey if you can get away with it, cheating, lying, stealing, why wouldn't you? Loser!

Adam's avatar

That is precisely how they think. Morality is merely on their menu as a side-dish.

Pamela Jolley's avatar

That’s part of what’s so hard for me to grasp! I don’t understand wanting to live a life like that! Or one where you look down on everyone.

Ann Lamb's avatar

$TRUMP calls to mind $TRUMPET, a coin of easy virtue.

Mike McCabe's avatar

High comedy would be them having their dinner of burnt steak and ketchup with a bunch of Arab and Chinese dudes.

Katy Bolger's avatar

I mean, who's left? All the crypto-bros, Elon bros, white supremacist bros (and Laura Loomer), oil and gas bros, billionaire bros ALREADY have access to the president.

NanceeM's avatar

This is super-duper, premium access, and will reel in foreign cash, by design.

BabsPHL's avatar

Every time I see $Trump in print all I can think of is $trumpet - the old definition of whore! So I guess $Trump is just another name for MALE WHORE! So fitting! The $trump whore dressed in his blue suit, red tie looking for adoring fans to make him feel useful and beloved. Your "favorite" president is selling his office for crypto, not even gold or silver! A more blatant $trump is now for sale - maybe HE is, but USA IS NOT!

The only part of his brain that is still firing on all cylinders is the part that operates the grift. And that may be on auto pilot after a lifetime of practice.
