Trump, out of office and booted from major social media platforms, has receded from the spotlight. But many of Trump's closest allies remain in powerful positions and have elections around the corner. How do they keep Trump's biggest fans, the Republican base, engaged?
I live in Florida, & believe me, Ron DeSantis isn’t known for his intellectual thinking. He is a Trump syncopant. His last election was close, & I hope that the Democrats can come up with someone who can beat him, but I’m doubtful, as Florida leans Republican. There are still Trump signs around town, because apparently some people don’t realize that the free and fair election is over.
DeSantis has made a deal with Publix to distribute the coronavirus shots. Publix donated $100,000 to DeSantis. Coincidence? Trying to get an appointment is like trying to win the lottery, you have to log on at a certain time, along with everybody else who wants a shot. At the present time I can’t preregister. Frustrating.
It never ceases to amaze how much the GOP cries about the Constitution while continually attempting to subvert it, and their voters are more than happy to go along with it. It’s part of what makes being outside of it so difficult; we all think there are laws and rules that should apply equally to everyone.
A government that forces private companies to publish their propaganda is called a COMMUNIST government. Clearly, we need better education in this country. Forty years of Republican strangling of public schools, libraries, and public health have taken their toll.
Thank you, Judd. Republicans in power are dangerous, and in no way have the best for the country in mind, only their own glorified sliver of dictatorship.
I hope Florida sees through DeSantis's incompetence and cruelty and chooses an alternative come time for reelection, but I won't hold my breath either.
DeSantis gets his marching orders from Trump. Just like Kevin McCarthy who actually flew down there just so he could ruin his career over Greene and get his butt kicked by Liz Cheney.
Maybe if given enough time and rope, he will hang himself, too. We can only hope for the citizens of Florida that will true.
