Their fate depends on the information the voters get and the level of concern in them. Americans seem to be more interested in "Dancing with the Stars" than in their own lives. It's a sleeping population as informed as N. Korea. It makes me crave crisis to wake them up.
Let's hope that, as Yamamoto supposedly said, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant." Is that United States still alive in this world of the twenty-first century?

The degree to which they suffer may become related to the numbers of their supporters who fall ill, and unnecessarily perish.
