I have no proof for this, but I wonder if the sudden embrace by conservative Governors and legislatures of paid sick leave while the Trump administration is attacking the ACA is being pushed from conservative leadership at the federal level to maintain down ballot Republican control. Is this too conspiracy theory-ish? If that were the case, the Republicans could easily refuse a common sense bill put forward by Dems and get cover from state action. They're pretty damn wily.

I might agree except that Dem Governors are embracing it as well and making it happen (v waiting on fed approval). I think what might be more valuable at this time is to watch and see which Repub govs actually step up to the real job of leadership and caring for the residents in their states.

I saw on Face Book(yes, I hate FB’s guts, BUT)from a friend in Nashville where the tornado hit, that trump landed and was actually writing personal checks to people. I know the woman who posted the story. She despises trump so there must be something to it.

I spent half my life in mid TN (one of the exact areas where the tornado hit) and have not heard one friend there mention Trump writing checks. Did this woman actually meet his plane and in that way, see it for herself? A better question might be WHERE was he when he was writing those checks?

Ok. Here’s what I’m saying about this post for now. I haven’t gotten a response yet so chalk it up to hallucinating or just being mistaken about reading this “presidential” vote buying event happening.
