Zuckerberg said Trump's post, which declares "when the looting starts, the shooting starts," did not violate Facebook's prohibition against advocating violence. Many Facebook employees disagree — and some have even resigned over the issue.
Zuckerberg is a coward. It's insane that he cares more about what trump thinks of him than enforcing his own policies on his platform. Trump has a free pass to spread as many lies as he wants. He can tweet or post to facebook with impunity. It's disgusting and Zuck and Dorsey are two of the biggest cowards in the world.
I am a physician and I author a well known blog called Everythinghealth.net. It is non-political and well researched. Out of the blue, Facebook will not allow sharing of my blog and says it is objectionable. Many of my readers have asked for review by clicking a button on the banned site, but nothing happens and I’m sure there is no one really monitoring. When I see the false ads and medical hoaxes all over Facebook I am puzzled. My blog is non-commercial and meant to inform and educate. It makes no sense. There is no way to contact anyone at Facebook.
I thought Mark Zuckerberg could sink no lower; and yet he has...I recommend closing Facebook accounts. LETS SEND MARK A MESSAGE HE WILL PAY ATTENTION TO.
Great work as always, Judd. Regarding your interpretation of Trump's looting/shooting post, and Zuckerberg's response to it: The issue goes beyond a potential incitement to vigilante justice. Trump is signaling to *police* that he supports their use of violence. Which is exactly the crux of the current protests against police violence, and the counter-protest actions by police. He's letting the police know that he completely supports any reaction against the protesters (he uses the term "looters" interchangeably with protesters), up to and including murder. This is a similar kind of messaging as when Trump told a group of police officers, deputies, and ICE officers in 2017 that, "when you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon — you just see them thrown in, rough — I said, please don’t be too nice. (Laughter.) Like when you guys put somebody in the car and you’re protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over? ... you can take the hand away, okay?" It's his mafia-style communication again, as pointed out by Michael Cohen, that he never tells his target audience to do something illegal. He hints that if they do, he'll make sure they don't face consequences.
Republicans are just trotting out the worst of the worst these days. I may have my issues with the Democratic Party, but these candidates don't appear to have any redeeming qualities.
As in all matters, the question, there must be a better way comes to my mind regarding closing a facebook account. Although deeply saddened and appalled by changes in our country regarding misuse of money to keep the selfish, greedy, and corrupt in power, I don't plan to leave the country and renounce my citizenship. Zuckerberg is the social media version of William Barr.

To me, a "thorough" decision involves actually consulting the candidate.
