Why is Bartiromo still on the air? Seriously, why? Fox had to keep some of it's 'base' viewers to keep some money flowing in? She has to be smarter than she appears and has to know what she is doing is promoting lies, conspiracy theories and idiocy. She's just another sad money grubber. I'm very glad that Fox keeps getting hit with lawsuit after lawsuit. Well deserved.
I'm surprised that Maria Bartiromo has learned nothing from her recent foolish reporting that came out during the Dominion trial coverage. Yes, $$$ at all costs!
It's called compartmentalization. She has been a good business reporter for years with CNBC and Fox. While at CNBC, her politics were always been right wing, but tempered. I wonder if she truly believes the political BS she spouts for Fox or is she selling her soul for ratings and salary.
Comer is an idiot! This “informant”, so called “witness” to whatever Hunter Biden supposedly has done while employed with this company. I can say, “so what”! This ‘witness’ is a criminal on the run. This ‘witness’ is a proven liar! This ‘witness’ will say anything he has to say to keep his behind from being prosecuted for his crimes. I have 27+ years of law enforcement saying that. So, yes, these Trumpublicans are fishing up the wrong tree with this clown.

Fox News had never has been fair and balanced because it isn't news. They are in "Gotta pull in that ad revenue and attract back the viewers who left when they fired Tucker Carlson" mode. The Dominion lawsuit was a swift kick in the wallet and there's another on the way.
All of the garbage about this informant has been Malarky since day one.
Fox News has been a primary source and cause of the divide in the American population. This excellent story points out how lies ie "alternate facts" matter with the GOP and minority rule and Fox is happy to oblige them.
As for the Fox viewership.
Never confuse them with the facts. They feed on conspiracy. I haven't watched more than a five minute window since the Malaysian plane disappeared and some old General,ret. said it had been hijacked by terrorists and was being armed with a nuke to be crashed in Tel Aviv.

A Conspiracy Theory is often generated because it gives a "reason" for things that seem out of control. These folks deny climate change though the evidence is roaring through their communities and now, even lungs. The cognitive dissonance must be, deep down, unsettling. Perhaps an existential threat they can't admit is driving the sudden ability to spot conspiracies beside every mile of the road.

As for the Republican "investigations", are there any of their witnesses who aren't imaginary or already indicted months ago? Reports by HCR, Jeff Teidrich, and others, show that Luft was indicted last November by DOJ. Those sneaky Dems: they predicted the minds of Gym Jordan and Comer, making sure to weaponize the DOJ and charge people for their actual crimes against the country MONTHS before the R's tried to call them as witnesses. 🙄

Now that the truth has come out about Comer's very important witness, we can see the humor in this Republican theater of the absurd. Will all of these maligning conspirators be held to account? If indicting them is up to Garland, I'm ready to "throw in the towel (of justice)."

"An indictment handed down in November was unsealed on Monday with Luft described as a fugitive, having skipped bail in Cyprus in April while awaiting extradition.
Announcing the charges, Damian Williams, US attorney for the southern district of New York, said Luft 'engaged in multiple, serious criminal schemes.' "
The wonderful new Rep from NY Dan Goldman (important lawyer for impeachment hearings) has described much of this news in detail. So, there's hope for some accountability.

Gee, you might think that the Department of Justice would be interested in any connections between and indicted, fugitive Chinese spy and several members of Congress and the Senate, but then again there is Merrick Garland...
The dis-information industry, in which Fox is the leading entity, has had 30+ years to untether millions of voters from reality. They hide behind the First Amendment. Their dis-information is destroying our democratic republic of which James Madison said “A well-informed electorate is required.” America no longer has that. I personally don’t believe that the First Amendment was written to protect liars, conspiracy mongers, character assassinators and grifters.
Fox and the GOP are mounting a full-on disinformation campaign. Look at the pieces of this. Make up an allegation and show it on news media that are credible to those who either want to believe or who will pay attention because they’re afraid of the government -- a fear stoked over many years. Repeat and embellish to draw in more credulous people. Launder the stink of the story by interviewing powerful enabler politicians.
Now you’ve got a perfectly symmetrical story to Trump’s alleged treasonous collaboration and corruption by Putin. Stoke distrust in the U.S. legal system so that it can be kneecapped for now and totally corrupted if Trump is re-elected. And of course if you scare people who are already credulous and outraged, they will vote out of fear. We had better beat this or we are done as a democracy.
The kicker is that fighting a baseless allegation repeats its exposure. And, you can’t prove a negative when it’s embellished to cast distrust against anyone who will challenge it.
This isn’t just Fox being the equivalent of The National Enquirer and the like. It’s a full on attack on truth and democracy.
If Fox (Rupert, our Goebbels) couldn’t lie… well, why even dream. Just promotes a fantasy that can never come to be. Rupert (or his clones) are the evil undead, never to stop tormenting the living. Where are the sci-fi heroes, monster killers, or citizens with that magic, recognizing (or smelling) bull Schitt when it piled so high and deep.
