Unfortunately, he correctly counts on the citizens to lose interest--and it works. They 'they' have made our country a reality tv show. Keep getting this good information out there, Judd--well done, all we can do is keep speaking truth to power.

He gets away with it because of capitalism. News and information has been transformed into "product" and "entertainment" with the focus on generating profit through advertising, as opposed to ACTUALLY informing the populace. This type of media strategy will always work unless, like with politics in general, the profit motive is removed.

Speaking of old Ron, it looks like Charlie Crist may have a little something for Ron's a** and may the best man (Crist) win their contest for governor.

Thanks for helping to inform readers on this issue; however, for a full story, please note that restoring a felon's right to vote was passed by a voter's amendment to Florida's Constitution, significantly hog-tied by the legislature's deliberately imposed requirement that any and all fees be repaid before a former felon could vote although it became nearly impossible for these individuals to get ANY entity - court, their attorneys, any State office - to provide them with an accurate amount of fees due or payable. Flawed legislature or intentionally imposed??? Also, missing from your article is the fact that DeSantis conveniently fails to mention the individuals from a Republican stronghold (the Villages) who voted multiple times in the election - a CLEAR and intentional violation of election laws. What about those individuals??? Did he simply forget to mention them? I don't think so. Why were they not charged? That's DeSantis: Disgusting, disgraceful, and deliberately deceitful.

A politicians favorite adage: "It is not whether a statement is true or false. It is how many people you get to believe it.".

Republicans have ALWAYS been better at this than Democrats. They get their base all whupped up, knowing full well that with the 24/7 media cycle, people will lose interest in a few days (or more importantly, the media will). DeathSantis is a wiz at doing this, which is why there is an excellent chance that at some point, he will end up living in the White House.

A prime example of the growing fascist trend in the red states, now Florida is crowing about how it sends SWAT teams to the homes of convicted felons - for voting.

As all regimes of this type, DeSantis depends on the ignorance of Floridians to work to his advantage. We're seeing a frightening return to the past where reason is discarded in favor of extremism. Really, 20 people get busted for voter fraud? Only 20? And I'll bet I know the color of their skin.

Is the ACLU on this yet? Defense of these wrongly charged individuals should be handled by an NGO to push against willful government abuse of those at the bottom.

So glad to have Popular Information back in my inbox today. I hope this is a story you’ll stay on, because Ron clearly is setting up a voter fraud claim ahead of the midterm elections. I believe he’ll do anything to “find” receipts that create doubt, fear, anger ….

Unrelated, I drove to West Chester, PA over the weekend. After reaching PA, most of my route was rural, and by that I mean old, historic, hilly and no cell service. It also meant the speed limit was slow. In an area of the state I consider red, I saw exactly one sign for someone running for statewide office. Planted in someone’s neat flowerbed was Fetterman. Small as that is, it gave me hope.

This is so infuriating. I sincerely hope that the ACLU or some other organization takes up the defense for these individuals and frankly files a claim against the state and counties for misleading them. This propaganda tactic is unfortunately very effective.

That these sensational headlines are making it to publication at all is telling of these outlets' priorities. They'll take the revenue however they can get it, journalistic integrity or not.

If we thought Trump was a nightmare,

DeSantis is even worse. 20 votes out of

11 million is nothing compared to 11+

thousand Georgia votes, but it's based

along the same theory our voting isn't

safe. What it fails to point out or say,

very deliberately, and has been proven,

is voter fraud is miniscule compared

to the total votes cast. It also doesn't

point out that most voter fraud in the

2020 election was by Republicans,

including Trump's chief of staff, Mark

Meadows.

DeSantis also timed his announcement for just before the primaries. I was a poll worker that day and we thought about the chilling effect that would make other felons extremely hesitant to go to the polls..

Seems like he missed those guys at The Villages!?? Those were pretty blatant!!

Keep up the good work Judd. You have hit the nail on the head for not only DeSantis but many others on the right. There really is no story…cue Hunter Biden’s laptop & Hillary’s emails…but they keep going back to it over & over again to be able to report a counter narrative to the stories that really matter!

Thank you for a great report, Judd. DeSantis is indeed a despicable sort of politician, and I am in hopes that he will be “hoist by his own petard.”
