Going after Trump’s son-in-law would be a real shot across the bow to the Thief-in-Chief himself and other members of the administration so brazen in their contempt for the rule of law. Not merely for that reason -- Kushner is corrupt as they come -- but Democrats should vigorously pursue this course of action. Hear, hear!

I hope they pursue him. If his actions aren't corrupt, we need a new definition. If he isn't convicted of a crime, I hope at least it leads to strengthening of our laws. He comes from a corrupt family and he clearly learned from his father.

I love this outline of how to investigate Kushner (go after Witcoff too). But the next step would be a massive civil law suit by the next administration against Kushner (and some others, including Musk). Trump can pardon all these clowns, but it only protects them from federal criminal prosecution. The next administration could use the investigative record built by Congress to pursue civil damages against these folks, which would tie them up in court, expose them to ruinous liability, further highlight in public their crimes, and deter conduct of this sort in the future.

This should be a high priority!

This is an important story, there is so much corruption, and accountability from sunlight is in much need.

LOCK HIM UP. LOCK TRUMP UP. LOCK ELON UP. LOCK THEM ALL UP.

Sarah Kendzior says the focus should be on Jared.

I’m sure she isn’t alone, but worth reading as I’m paraphrasing

This investigation has all the earmarks of an Elizabeth Warren hearing. Let's go!

Yes, accountability is important, but ending the American people's suffering via legislation (or attempting to and having Trump veto it) is more important...it will show that Democrats care and is a path to 2028.

Forgive me, but right now I'm just happy that South Carolina doesn't like quite so STUPID (for the first time since at least 1860.)

This should be very interesting.....

Superbly explained!

Add to the list the Lutnik and Witkoff kids. And I'm pretty sure we can find three jail cells to hold them.

Great article. I'm sure the Congress will finally get some backbone and do their jobs - and you are showing them the way. You are the best. I've been lurking for long. Now I've subscribed. Please keep up the good work.

There must be a legitimate way to have some criminal charges originate from state grand juries so that the inevitable Trump pardons will not apply?

No question Democrats should aggressively investigate Kushner, but I have no doubt as well that Kushner and everyone (and every entity) connected to him will successfully stonewall and delay until pardoned by Trump.

But in the meantime, make that SOB miserable. Put a frown on that arrogant little shiny face so he''s self-injecting Botox every night.
