On and on and on it goes...Republicans doing everything in their power to invent reasons (voter fraud) and make laws (gerrymandering, shutting down voting sites, limiting hours and days of availability, making mail in voting impossible etc.). Why don’t we just call them on it? They want to strike blacks, the poor and every democrat voting person off the list of voters in this country. Isn’t that what all their mechanizations are about? Im sick of all this game playing and ‘make believe’ voter fraud. The reasons are clear.
Devo gives us a plan of action for dealing with false corporate supporters. Judd, Black Voters Matter, etc must call these liars out and expose their two faced agendas.
I'm glad that the bill was stopped, at least temporarily. However, there is zero doubt that the Republicans will revive this odious legislation as soon as they possibly can.
These blatant, flagrant voter suppression laws promulgated across America are reprehensible and completely against what our country purports to be founded - so sad and depressing.
I am sure Stephen Miller called the Governor with his suggestions. LoL. The Miller version of immigration applied to the state legislature staff and elected official. @GOP is a murderous bunch. No jugular they won't attempt to sever.
We are living Game of Thrones 2021. Next they will throw children from the UT bell tower.
This fight is not over, but kudos to the Democrats in this case for walking out to defeat the bill in this instance.
Amen

When a problem comes along
You must whip it
Before the cream sits out too long
You must whip it
When something's going wrong
You must whip it
Now whip it
Into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late
To whip it
Whip it good
When a good time turns around
You must whip it
You will never live it down
Unless you whip it
No one gets away
Until they whip it
I say whip it
Whip it good
I say whip it
Whip it good

Texas: building a budding authoritarian government in plain sight. Are there any good Republicans left? Rhetorical question...

Horrible situation, but Bravo! to the Democrats to block it.

Judd, your headline is misleading. The legislation isn’t defeated, it’s only been delayed.
