The thing about body cams is you can wear them all you want, but if they're turned off -- or if you intentionally turn them off at certain moments -- they're not effective. All of this is moot, of course, if you don't buy them in the first place, and Pop Info quite literally has the receipts to prove ICE/DHS is lying. That Tom Homan, among others, would try to blame the shutdown and specifically Democrats is shameful, but as we know these people are incapable of shame, so there's no reason to expect better.
ICE lies about everything. Body cams, multiple eyewitnesses, citizen or news video won't change the fact that when ICE murders a citizen or immigrant they will lie about it. The solution - states need to start arresting the murderers...immediately. Their identities are not secret no matter how hard they try. Put them on trial, the evidence is open and shut. And send them to the nastiest prison in the state. That may be the only deterrence. And when Trump is gone every agent hired from 1/20/25 onward should be fired. Every supervisor should be fired. Homan, MIller, Noem and Mullin (and others) should be jailed. And ICE should be abolished.
First of all, in a time when every other house on the block has a ring camera and every business has video surveillance, I don't believe for a moment that that there is no clear video of the Araujo killing. That nothing has "emerged" only means no one has leaked them.
But primarily, where is DOGE when you need them, huh? Talk about fraud waste and abuse! Pete Hegseth wears a lot of nice suits, but accountability isn't one of them.

They should make the equipment DHS officers wear be a set. If they are going to have a kevlar vest, helmet, and gun then they should have a body camera that they can not turn off. As a set they would get all or none.

Everything they say is a lie until proven otherwise. Why does anyone believe they were not using body cameras during the recent 2 killings? Cell tower data can verify if live video was being transmitted at a specific time and place. Why isn’t any demanding the data? We need to assume they have body camera video unless they provide the cell data showing their cameras were off. If they are lying and actually have video of these events, this needs to be known.
Honestly at this point ICE's policy is to protect any agent from prosecution or even investigation no matter how clearly they are caught on video, so I'm fine with them keeping that money instead of giving it to (deeply shitty company) Axon. Congress can claw it back later

Any money given to this government for legitimate purposes winds up being taken by trump and used for his personal purposes, or to bribe someone.
Congress must not give this government another penny. Better to shut it down than to send our taxes to be stolen and misused.
