It is a deliberate campaign of genocide. When Trump is gone mass trials will be required to hold all of the guilty to account.

Not that anyone deserves to be treated inhumanely, but these detainees don't sound like the worst of the worst that Trump and his administration vowed would be prioritized as a function of curbing illegal immigration. I would ask how the president's supporters could justify this treatment of people, but if they can explain away Renee Good's death despite clear visual evidence that her murderer wasn't in danger, they'll justify this, too.

I believe that Twump, given the chance, would make convicted felons deportable, no matter what their citizenship status is. It would be an easy way for them to remove a good percentage of black men from the country, even though their family has generations of citizenship, beginning with the great-great that was born into slavery in the United States.

When I say Twump, that includes, of course, the whole lot of them from Gnome and the Miller on down.

I don't know what to say. This isn't according to the values of this country. I don't know how to label it. I'm not usually at a loss for words but I do know this is absolutely inhumane and horrible.

The starkest projection yet is when trump calls these humans 'vicious murderers'. We all know the vicious murderers are ICE, and trump and his Cabinet of nazis.

I hope the world helps us rid this country of the scum that has lied and deceived it's way into our government, before it spreads to the rest of the world. It's disgustingly clear our elected politicians won't.

Thanks for shining a bright light in a very dark corner. The regime has a lot of blood on its hands. The truth will out.

This is probably as close to an obituary any of these men will get. No matter how "bad" they were (and is addiction a crime?), these human beings did not deserve to die like they did. The absolute horrible karma this country is racking up will be mass reckoning, something akin to 9/11. The universe keeps score.

Judd, Do you know if our government informs any family members of the death of these men if the family does not live in the U.S.?

And many of my fellow Americans will say they brought this on themselves coming here illegally and it’s not our job to treat them humanely. I am sick and tired of how callous and cruel and careless and capricious and self centered and self empretzeled my fellow Americans are. Please Canada- send Michigan more donuts and beer. Save us, please?!?!

This is the exact reporting we need in order to hold people accountable and put the actual criminals in prison. Accountability still feels an impossibly long ways away though

We are now Russia or any other country that disappears people and treats them as less than human. Thank you for the details. The facts. They matter so much and I encourage people to share this far and wide because the truth of this needs to spread.
