When you turn the process of trying to make the world safe for mediocre white men over to mediocre white men what do you expect. Of course the DOGE incels used all of their big balls to do a search thru pdf files with little regard for context, they are too high on their own supply to think about context. Give these dweebs some time, they will break something much more important than some OSHA publications, and the American people will be demanding their heads on a platter...along with Musk's.

Also, at some time the US may become one of those countries that does not let people leave at will. Will there be any memory of these things in the people 20 years from now?

More like some talented hacker breaking into Tesla's systems and permanently disabling every Tesla vehicle in the US while putting something "interesting" on the screen together with trashing the guidance system on every SpaceX rocket. "What's sauce for the goose..."

IT'S ON PURPOSE THOUGH

Lots of actions seemingly self-destructive to the maga gop's hold on power -- e.g., destroying public health, the dollar, the world economy, and popular support -- make complete sense.

Because their plans are to intentionally burn our nation & democracy to the ground.

So they can loot what's left & turn the US -- or its broken up remains, fully totalitarian, possibly run by corporations for profit, with customers, not citizens, who can afford to pay.

The rest of us can just die off of disease, deprivation, state-sanctioned murder.

+++++

Recent highlights:

-- Destroying public health, on purpose, so more Americans will get sick and die.

-- Firing and taking services away from military veterans

-- Weakening our national security by elevating unqualified, incompetent personalities to the Cabinet, conducted important business with personal gmail accounts and consumer texting apps

-- Pardoning convicted criminals, including people who attacked and injured members of the police

-- Destroying banking protections -- they're going after deposit insurance. Think the 1929 great crash.

-- Destroying the US economy -- they don't care about inflation and have publicly said so. Trump said he "couldn't care less" if car prices (for example) go up because of his tariffs and the intentional chaos around them and the regime's other "economic policies."

-- Trying their best to destroy the world economy.

Who benefits when a regime destroys democracy and the rule of law fail?

Curtis Yarvin, a technofascist favorite and an influencer of the "new right" (JD Vance is reportedly a fan), has written in his "butterfly revolution" that the "rebooting" of the US should go something like the following

Note how far along they are.

+++

Butterfly Revolution Step 1: Campaign on Autocracy

Butterfly Revolution Step 2: Purge the Bureaucracy

Butterfly Revolution Step 3: Ignore the Courts

Butterfly Revolution Step 4: Co-Opt the Congress

Butterfly Revolution Step 5: Centralise Police and Powers

Butterfly Revolution Step 6: Shut Down Elite Media and Academic Institutions

Butterfly Revolution Step 7: Turn Out the People

"If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal.

"If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that's also illegal.

"Judges aren't allowed to control the executive's legitimate power."

Viewing this report about the botched purge of OSHA what becomes obvious is the sadistic intention originated by Elon Musk. He revels in ignorant cruelty. What is it going to take for these actions to be translated into simple language that the masses who voted for Trump can realize this intentional cruelty. Remember it is women who are a part of DEI, and of course anyone with black or brown skin. (White Nationalist Reacists are down with this skin color bias--even Enrique Torio.) NPR is taking this on, but let's see some headlines in all papers.

He's already stated that he wants to kill all regulations, then re-instate the ones that turn out to be "necessasy".

He may know that "regulations are written in blood" but so long as it's the blood of others, he doesn't care. Waiting for the time when he drops one of his rapidly unscheduled diassembling rockets on a city somehere. https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/24/china/china-rocket-debris-falls-over-village-intl-hnk/index.html

The inclusion of "accessibility" among the targets of Musk and the Trump administration is notable here for me and particularly loathsome. People with disabilities are already often treated poorly by virtue of subpar accommodations. Now to be specifically targeted? That's straight-up Nazi shit.

The fact that he's also going after special education for children with disabilities makes me sick. The Nazis targeted the disabled for supposedly polluting the Aryan gene pool. We know Trump mocks and vilifies disabled people. I don't know if Musk has stated his views, but no doubt he at least thinks disability services are "waste."

Happy (any other but the current) President's Day. The orange turd makes George W Bush look like a genius and Andrew Jackson look kind to others. He makes Andrew Johnson look loyal and Buchanan look like his own man. He makes Nixon look honest. Compared to this rat, Ford looks graceful and Taft looks slim.

Botched? Botched!?! You think anything Musk does to damage OSHA is botched? "Oops, on no, I accidentally shot someone I've been talking for years about wanting to shoot while shooting at those targets over there." I'm mostly surprised they couldn't manage to find more than 18 documents to delete. Not that it matters, they're going to completely end OSHA anyhow if we don't stop them.

This is not about DEI.

Don't distract us: this is about making sure workers get injured more often, that bosses can cut corners more, that everyone suffers more all around.

Are you worried about falling into a conspiracy theory? This is obvious to the naked eye. All their actions are about dismantling our society, our culture, anything that is about protecting someone, having them suffer less, or not starve.

You see this over and over again and yet you call it "botched"

On the contrary, it is extremely well executed, devilishly clever.

We fool ourselves thinking they're stupid because we want to consider ourselves superior and reassure ourselves they can't possibly win.
