The second part of this, “Meet the new White House Press Secretary” is important enough to garner it’s own newsletter IMO. I fear it will be essentially buried & missed under the Petco PetSmart pile.

The world is going to the dogs. People want Fido looking good when Death comes knocking Covid-19 at the door. There would be no biz unless there were paying customers. Ultimately the need is the greed.

My mantra for the last several weeks has been,

"Stupidity is killing America."

Just one more example.

Our new press secretary. Mais, oui. More of the same kind of rotten humanity scraped off the shoe after a walk in the dog park. Trump and his ilk are all the same.

BTW. Just so you know. KellyAnne Conway and Stephen Miller both make $183,000 a year to be "that" gal and guy.

WH published 19 pages of who earns what as Trump Toadies.

That should make your day...

1) Leaving aside, if possible, the money-grubbing actions of Petsmart and Petco, what does it say about people who feel that it's an absolute must that their dog look simply beautiful in the midst of a pandemic?

2) McEnany sounds like a female version of Stephen Miller. So, yeah, she'll be a perfect addition to this vile White House.

One other thing to consider here: dogs that come in from homes where coronavirus is present, may have the virus on their fur. From the Washington Post, "How to Pet Dogs During the Coronavirus Pandemic"/March 18: "Given the unknowns about the disease, experts recommend that people infected with the coronavirus stay away from pets, as they should from people. So the most conservative approach would be to refrain from touching others’ dogs, because its owner could be asymptomatic." Is putting dogs in a sink and washing them with sprayers likely to cause the virus to be splashed into the faces of groomers? I think that is a major issue here that nobody is talking about. Dog daycare employees can wipe the dogs down and limit contact with their fur, wear gloves or wash their hands, but can groomers avoid the spray that results in the dog washing process?

I have to disagree on this one. My dog needs specialized food and frequent nail trims at the very least. No, I can't do it myself as I have pugs that fight tooth and nail if you even touch their feet. If I still had my Pekingese, he would have needed regular grooming as well.
