The one that really gets me is Speaker Johnson. The man literally has an app on his phone that his son monitors to make sure he doesn't stray to anything "naughty", a.k.a. porn related, and there he is, defending on the steps of the court house a man who is being tried for covering up a tryst with an ACTUAL ADULT FILM STAR.

This is my Human Garbage pick of the week.

While I am calling this the "Goebbels Brigade" I call the Speaker Mike "Goebbels" Johnson, because he is playing the role for Trump that Goebbels did for Hitler as his propagandist. In fact, Goebbels spent time spinning every negative situation by telling the people that Hitler cared about them, they must embrace the suffering that was imposed on them and be stoic for their country, and that things were going well when they weren't. Goebbels also ran a big spy ring, so we see whom Putin is modeling himself after as well. But Hitler was there first, and Putin is just a Hitler wannabe. Goebbels Johnson is just a flunkey for Trump who is willing to spin his lies to shied him, just as his predecessor did before him.

Blue suits, red tie = brown shirts, black tie...

The new nazi/ dictator syncophant uniform, in lieu of brown shirts. They wish to appear patriotic, but it has little to do with patriotism & all to do with appearing to be a trump party "acolyte."

Agree with this and comments about the brown shirts - this blue suit red tie is not comical as some in media (Morning Joe) are responding but actually terrifying as it's not far from the Nazi uniform which would likely come if DT god forbid "wins" - and I do actually believe they are planning to rig it - he's way too confident - but as always national media seems unwilling to call a red tie what it is. I hope the judge calls all of them out-Dems made a mistake saving Johnson, he's literally a Biden/Harris "accident" away from WH

I agree it is terrifying. A dose of this BBC series Rise & Fall of the Nazis https://youtu.be/KcfTOKgDdWQ?si=JGMlOG4qKDPIi0IK

makes it clear why. The SA wore brown shirts, the SS wore black with skull insignia. That might be an appropriate accoutrement to the red ties. If one can imagine what awaits us, and I agree with the plan to steal along with the Supreme Court to do it. They are even acclimating us to their totally ignoring the laws with their decisions as their bosses at the Heritage Foundation lay out a path for them to steal the election. At that point I suggest everyone in the country have a plan B. Mine was made 4 years ago before Biden was elected.

Me too. The others are opportunists and come to suck off the fumes of Trumpo's farts. But Mike Johnson - the speaker of the house - what the f is he doing there? Does he want to be vice-president? Wouldn't his religious advisors, if no one else, caution him about gluttony and other sins of tying yourself to a known sinner?

How did we get this far and how do we get back?

What did Mike Johnson do to the office of the Speaker? He isn’t supposed to represent Trump. He isn’t supposed to be against democracy.

It was known from the beginning that he was a Diaper Don follower. This should not be a surprise to anyone. Hell, he visited the maralago pig pen the week after he made Speaker. I think he played his cards right when he brokered the recent deal with the Dems, knowing that, with Dem votes, he wouldn't lose his position if MGT tried to have him removed.

Then he just went back to his old ways. And now the people had to pay for all of those trips back and forth from DC to NYC.

If all of these political diaper sniffers are gonna appear merely to try to make a TV show out of Trump's repeated lies and simpleton court bleatings, then I demand, on behalf of all Americans, that the trial be televised so that folks can stop guessing or being misinformed about what the hell is going on. None of this secrecy or sideshow antics is benefitting our democracy.

Brain dead Tommy Tuberville just about gave away the plot when he said in so many words that Trump was orchestrating this bullshit. But Trump, well trained by Roy Cohn and his NY mobster buddies, is more likely dropping hints with his own bullshit that he expects his minions to act on his behalf. The American people, if they weren't already tapped out on outrage, would be calling for the heads of all of these politicians who are claiming Trump is innocent without any evidence. Merchan should use today's break in the trial to drag all of them in and put them under oath, then ask them all if Trump asked/ordered/hinted that they should make all the claims and threats that he cannot. Perhaps he could hold Trump in contempt, put him in the holding cell, and tell these assholes that he doesn't get let out until they tell the truth. Side note - Remember when Nixon almost caused a mistrial in the Manson case when he said publicly that he thought Manson was guilty?

We The People WILL be calling for their heads - as each one of the "assholes" comes up for re-election, We go after them! Hammer them for their stands against the American Rule of Law, and get real Americans elected to replace them. We do this enough times, and the tune these assholes are whistling will change in a real hurry. And we start this November, with a crusade against every MAGAt in the house up for re-election. Are WE all on board??

Of course I am. This is a coup that is laid out to us, it's aim to destroy the Constitution and turn this country into what that orange traitor would call "a shithole". I'm all for getting rid of every one of them, and prosecuting the lawbreakers , according to the laws of our country. EVERYONE needs to be on board in Nov. AND beyond. They've tried to overthrow the government once and will do it again. With Johnson in the Speaker chair, their aim will be to muddy the election results, and give him the opportunity to declare the traitor the winner of the election even if he loses.

Unfortunately, tens of millions of voters are not and will not "be onboard" come November. This reality is sponsored by America's disinformation industry, one that has no interest is preserving the democratic republic. It exists and hides behind the First Amendment strictly for the money.

Thanks Judd and Aaron for filling us in on info I hadn't heard. Truth is Trump has turned all of these surrogates into boring people. Trump has become increasingly boring--constantly repetitive like an old man with dementia. What can be more boring than when someone falls asleep in front of you!? I thought that Trump's mental illnesss might become so apparent that most people would realize how unfit DJT is for any responsibility, but boring people to death may also become a factor!

And, here's what we have from the Biden administration:

This is probably coming from my own horror at watching this deliberate show of contempt on the news last night, but I am losing faith in our system of justice. Trump is clearly in violation of the gag order-again; Cannon has successfully derailed the trial regarding his mis-handling and sharing of classified documents; and the prosecutor for the election interference case in Georgia was put on trial in order to derail that case. It truly appears there will be no end to the destructive power allowed Trump and his minions. Where is Garland in all this?
