This man's garbage is protected as "free speech" while the book "Killers of the Flower Moon" an actual accounting of the killing off of most a the Osage Indian tribe in OK is being banned - in Oklahoma! The 1st amendment has been turned upside down by the Republican Party. Vote BLUE!

It ticks me off that Killers of the Flower Moon is banned in OK. A true story!

"Truth" is the last thing Republican's want people to know - at all levels of government, federal, state or local. If people are provided facts (truth) they vote for Democrats.

Important to identify and call out these hateful voices whenever and wherever they are found. The public should know who they are getting disinformation from and how to avoid it…

Rebecca Crosby shows the appropriate description for Robby Starbuck in this title: "Meet the conspiracy theorist and anti-LGBTQ extremist pulling the strings at major American corporations." If Robby's thinking is "Conservative Commentator" we are being fed peculiar and reactionary ideas as normal. Let us point out to Bloomberg, WSJ, USA Today, Newsweek, and the targeted Tractor Supply Company and John Deere that these criticisms come from neurotic fear. We may not know what frightened Robby Starbuck as a child, but he has reacted by his enormous effort, "The War On Children." Most children are instinctively healthy, therein lies our hope.

Dude really tried to pull the "I'm Latino, so it's not racist" card. It's still prejudiced, not to mention wrong, Robby.

Another right wing nut case that EVERY ACCUSATION IS A CONFESSION.

Guess who keeps getting caught in human trafficking, drug trafficking, and child pedophilia? Right wingers getting caught by conservative law enforcement. We are allowing people like him and Jones to abuse the first amendment. Something has to be done.

Would be helpful to provide suggestions for how mainstream media could accurately refer to this guy instead of how they do.

Thanks for reporting!

"Batshit, bugfuck insane" would be a good start. "Conspiracy theorist." "Serial liar." "Bigot." "Misogynist." These are all accurate, and I've got a million of 'em.

I wonder how much background research needs organizations did on Starbuck. I'd never heard of him, so naturally checked Wikipedia. He's listed there as an "American music video director." The bulk of the article is a list of music videos he's directed. There is little mention of his current activities. Tractor Supply (he biggest takedown to date) isn't mentioned, though the article was last edited seven days ago.

We really need to retire the word conservative. It's meaningless and only serves to legitimize regressive extremists who are not out to "conserve" anything.

Whatever he calls his mission, he is painfully out of touch and inflicting his ideas where they are not needed or wanted. Why do these companies allow themselves to be bullied by such a disgusting intolerant retard?

Corporations exist for the quarterly profits report. Hate mongers can organize to affect those.

For profit corporations do not exist for long-term social, progressive democracy. We may need to talk more about this as a social problem.

There are exceptions.

"Public benefit corporations" are allowed in 36 states plus D.C.

How does that work?

Is there a mix of profit motive and public benefit?

Sounds interesting -- Robert

He's another of the professional gravy train riders and profiteers who seized on the hatreds that Turnip has made OK to express without shame. The vast majority of his far-flung hangers on and boosters are there to rake in as much money as possible while the pendulum is swinging their way. That these spineless companies cave to cretins like him is a whole other problem.

Truly no faith in traditional media to cover anything accurately anymore, specifically NYT with their anti trans writers Pamela Paul and David Leonardt who can’t get basic facts and science right. Thank you Judd for being an actual journalist and not just publishing clickbait headlines and holding the rest of media accountable .

So...the question is what motivates media to not provide truthful reporting.

Money perhaps...what do you think?

Where does it come from and why.

What are the motivators? Money? And who benefits directly.and indirectly?

How do we effect a dramatic turn around?

It always seems... and is too little. In this country, both/all parties are to blame most of the time while in competition for power, with too few exceptions. The system is wholly inadequate to address the needs and the potential best accomplishments which could be realized by the human race if they could just stop with all the bullshit and work toward worthwhile long term exploratory goals in support of a better life.
