I'm sorry, I am incapable of sympathy or empathy or anything but schadenfreude for anyone STUPID or GULLIBLE enough to invest in anything Trump is selling. He is and always has been a con man who knows that there is, in fact, a sucker born every minute.

If this doesn't convince Trump supporters that Trump's a con who doesn't care. nothing will.

It should

But it won't

Trump has been reaping the benefits and leaving others holding the bag long before getting into public office. This scheme is simply an extension of who he is at his core.

Thank you for accurately covering this as the pump and dump scam that all these memecoins are.

My head erupted in flames when NYTimes reported this as "Crypto Brought Trump a Huge Windfall, Even as Many Investors Lost Big" - like there isn't a direct connection between the two that is THE story.

Did these people not know who they were buying from? A simple search of his financial mismanagement and outright fraudulent dealings are legendary.

Trump & Co corruption & criminality on an epic scale: In 12 Months Trump Made $1.4 Billion. https://mitchthelawyer.substack.com/p/in-12-months-your-president-made?r=aexlz&utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web

One memecoin made Trump $635 million. 58 wallets pulled out more than a billion dollars. 764000 wallets lost money. A tiny circle at the top won. Everyone else held the bag. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uff7qmNnqco

Promoting the coin as president is using his position to enrich himself and is impeachable.

The $Trump echoes a number of classic memes…like a “a fool & his money” and the above “a sucker born every minute”. The tokens are pure fool’s gold.

YIKES. We sort of knew this - thanks for rounding up this info.

This seems criminal on its face, but I'm not a lawyer. Would presidential immunity apply if it is? It's unseemly at best, using the status and visibility of the presidency for personal gain while family and friends gain from presidential decisions in their financial business. Reporter's research reveals its scale, but the operation is plain to see. He sells it, brags about it, and profits from it. He has turned the White House, no the entire executive branch, into an arm of $rump Inc. He isn't doing this alone. He is the kingpin, but his organization is behind the how-tos and daily operation. It is rather brilliant. For now, he is getting away with it. Have his experts found a way to exploit the system without censure, accountability, and punishment?
