The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) accepted an illegal $50,000 contribution from Children's Health Defense, a leading purveyor of anti-vaccine propaganda run by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The unlawful contribution, which was received by RAGA last summer, was first disclosed in an 87-page document filed with the IRS last week.
RFK, Jr., is proving to be one of the most evil, mendacious political figures of our age. People are dying because of the misinformation he and his fellow anti-vaxxers are spreading. His father would be ashamed of the person his son has become.
Two newsletters this week, two non-profits, two steaming piles. CHD and RAGA knew they would be caught months after the scheme, and I suspect both concluded the penalty for the crime was worth it. So CHD loses its 501(c)(3) status. Cue the Lone Ranger theme while Koch rushes to save the day in whatever way his money can. If I’m wrong about the penalty and it is defined as a crime for which Kennedy can be held accountable outside the organization and for which RAGA faces shutdown, then cue the Jeopardy music while we wait to see if the IRS and DOJ take action.
Unfortunately, Kennedy has erased any possibility of a serious, thoughtful debate about medical freedom. Just the numbers you quote, Judd, tell the story: take a small non-profit, whip its members into a frenzy, and reap the profits. Meanwhile science and reason take a back seat.

Oh Wow! I so appreciate the depth and details that you, Judd, are able to discover and present so clearly to us. Exposure of the machinations taking place to distort the truth and the information that can help us all live and thrive remains the best strategy to clean up the dangerous lies. JFK Jr. seems crazy and pathetic to me, but exposing everything he and his supporters are doing will work against his unwitting ill intentions. I sense that he really believes in the danger of all vaccines. But, belief in something dangerous and wrong doesn't mitigate the lethal impact of the actions.
