Scientology pushes pseudoscience, and you and your family need evidence based medicine. This is how RFK Jr and his ilk get rich off our suffering. Just please read the science and evidence and data and talk to your provider. Don’t make these rich dumbasses richer- you deserve the same goodness and you are valuable.
What worries me is that after the Sackler family was revealed to be deathmongers through the pushing of their powerful painkillers, doctors pulled back significantly from prescribing painkillers for legitimate pain. This could easily happen here as the government is buying this garbage of anti-antidepressants. How many doctors will either believe it, or worry about their own livelihood affected by prescribing those pills, and cut back or deny their patients the much needed medicine?
I spent many years coping with the stress of a highly charged work environment by taking a mild antidepressant. When the job was done, my doctor weened me off and I have never looked back. My anxiety and depression was environmental. What about biological depression? Or depression caused by something that does not go away? We are human beings who need help to cope. I always say thank God for modern medicine, but then again I spend a lot time (researching) in the 17th century where the diseases and plagues were constant. And the mortality of children was heartbreaking.
I should have guessed: scientology. Kennedy also regularly visits tanning parlors, which even minimally informed people understand may not be the best prescription for avoiding skin cancers. Like 47, RFK, Jr. seems to cherry-pick his truths, whatever their relationship to scientific consensus.
Kennedy is an example of coming to a conclusion and making up shit to support it. Like most of Trump’s band of misfits, he is lacking in intellectual honesty as well as in moral character.
I remember when Caroline Kennedy spoke of her cousin's sadism when they were growing up, and urged (begged) Congress not to confirm him. I still blame Dr. Sen. Cassidy for the crucial vote in electing him. Dr. Sen. Cassidy apparently (finally) regrets it now. Too late.
I look forward to the day when we once again embrace science&empirical thinking. I want public servants to be the best&brightest, not egomaniacal loons who don’t mind killing a few people along the way.
Hi! My name is Vladimir Putin, and my objective is to weaken/destroy American and the West. I can't do it militarily...hmmmm...maybe I can compromise a US President and see what happens...
My name is Vlad Putin and I have one desire: to weaken the west and its liberal orthodoxy. I have been flooding the stupid American's social media for over ten years with confusing and misleading lies parading as opinion and fact only to confuse the weak-minded Americans. I now have operatives like Tucker Carson (a get!) and Tulsi Gabbard and many Twump adjacent powerful people.
I was beginning to worry RFK was a kook but hearing that he is connected to Scientology? Whew! If Scientology is known for anything it is science-based, common sense beliefs
Battlefield Earth is a 1982 science fiction novel written by L. Ron Hubbard, who had a role as the founder of Scientology. In 2000, the novel was adapted into a film starring John Travolta, which is popularly considered one of the worst films ever made.
Forest Whitaker was in it too? Boy Howdy! I remember L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics. Remember Battlestar Gallactica with Lorne Green? That was pretty awful too.
It's been quite a while, but I don't recall "Battlestar Gallactica" being bad. Compared to "Battleship Earth", "Plan 9 from Outer Space" is like watching "Gone With The Wind."
I made it through "Battleship" once (bragging rights). IMHO, Plan 9 gets better with each viewing.
Ed Wood's "Glen or Glenda" (which I have seen once) is an amazing time machine in that you will constantly look at your watch and say "It's only been 5 minutes since I last checked??"
I have read the Hubbard turned on psychiatry/psychology because they had successfully challenged his right to operate because Hubbard wasn’t licensed in that field. That is when he hit on claiming he was running a church because the First Amendment protects churches and also makes them tax exempt.
Oh great Scientologists are making public health policy. Maybe Popinfo should do a rundown on what other BS this pseudo-religion believes in and practices. Just bullet point their devious points of aberrant belief and behavior. There are plenty of former Scientologists who have written books and produced documentaries against this insane cult. And now they are deciding public mental health through a decades-long grudge from their dead former leader? WTF? Only in Twump's America, y'all.
How is this the first time I've heard of his connection to Scientology? Some of the weird stuff makes new sense..(that is, as much as Scientology usually makes)
Scientology ignores proofable scientic facts bc it’s easier to spread lies and fear to manipulate the masses and this government regime is following same rule book! Project 2025. VOTE Blue get these quacks out of our government, healthcare, education, and the scientific community!!
This reminded me of my reading a book “ Under the Banner of Heaven” about the founding of the LDS religion. I had to put the book down frequently and go take a walk to calm my mind. To think that so many people actually believe these fables is disturbing enough to cause depression.
Thank you - as usual - for deep research on important matters that are not generally covered in the news. I hope MANY people (and general media) have PopInfo in their newsfeed.

Speaking as someone who takes an antidepressant, RFK Jr. and the Church of Scientology can go screw.

Because he is paid off, just like most of the Trumpers.

Imagine being in the ER and discovering the anesthesiologist was one of these clowns.
SMH
100% of crashed cars have horns. Therefore, car horns cause crashes.
This is an incredibly harmful movement!
What a superb explanation of "Correlation does not equal causation."

Trumpis consistent. He chooses the worst people.
Always. Without fail.

Lolol
Have you watched "Battleship Earth"? Great fun if you like bad sci-fi. I hope you live where marijuana is legal.

Almost anything by Ed Wood is amazing!

And if you don't live where marijuana is legal, there's always tequila
😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂

L. Ron himself was in a psychiatric hospital. He asked for the help, he was not IC.
He also once said, "The only way you can control people is to lie to them...the only way you can control anybody is to lie to them."
I think Rump was listening.

A page on the official Scientology website says “[psychiatry] is [a] staggeringly profitable business."
Look and see how much exorbitant wealth Scientology has. The hypocrisy is never ending.
exhausting... we have to spend time on these maniacs in order to stay safe

Junior needs to take his meds… thank you for your attention to this matter!
