1. America First is a racist-based idelogy. 2. Charlie Kirk is a liar and a racist. 3. The Civil Rights Act was not about taking anything away form white people and giving special status to people of color.
Senator Sherrod Brown is one of the best. A quality guy all the way down. Ohio, however, is a state in civic decline, infected with a maga nihilism that will be difficult to overcome.
Send Sherrod Brown some bucks you can spare. Please.
I pray to God that Sherrod Brown, Bob Casey, Jon Tester and Tammy Baldwin win reelection and MI and AZ send Elissa Slotkin and Ruben Gallego to the senate. Their GOP counterparts all go from bad to worse to the worst.
Bernie Moreno and Charlie Kirk embody what the typical MAGA base care about and vote for. Anyone who doubts that these people are deeply racist does not understand what is going on beneath the surface. In fact, probably many Trump voters (and elected officials in the Senate and House) do not realize that their position is unconsciously deeply racist. "...because they have a black friend...or love their Hispanic gardener or cleaning woman" People--all of us--tend to be judgmental, and defend our virtuousness rather than take a look within. Spiritual inner work is hard work,
Could it be that Ohio will soon have the two worst senators in the US Senate? JD Vance is isolationist and pro-Russia, dressing up his foreign policy views as "multipolarity"; Moreno is the candidate of Turning Point and Trump, two of the most extremist and destructive forces in the US.
Ohio is racing to the bottom with Missouri. Hawley has been in the state (doesn’t live here, lives in Virginia) trying to help an area of North St. Louis County that was polluted with radioactive waste by Mallinckrodt while working on The Manhattan Project. People have been getting cancer for years and it should be a superfund site. Hawley is trying to save his butt that way. Strangely, it’s also in our other senator’s, Eric Schmitt, childhood backyard, but he’s not doing anything. Hawley is trying like hell to have something to run on. Missouri, Vance in Ohio - they’re all garbage.
Because of assholes like Kirk, and most Republicans, come to think of it, hate has become normalized. Hate, cruelty, misogyny, incompetence, greed, and malicious stupidity is all they stand for. Oops, forgot about God, yeah, they're really into that, too.
Just remember that their very human "god" is a false image created to meet the needs their dysfunctions have created in them. That "hole in their soul" that they think "god" fills in for them is actually the heartache (which is real thing, psychologically) that results from having pieces of your personality beaten (verbally or physically) out of you. If they got the help they need to recover the pieces of their personalities that those who raised them ripped out (or caused them to rip out, themselves), they'd be able to actually sense the real God, and do the kinds of things that God calls them to do: heal the sick, feed the poor, give water to the thirsty, visit those in prison, throw those who worship money out of the temple of their own lives, etc. Until then, their "god" is more likely an excremental demon (the movie "Dogma") created to meet their own psychological needs.
I have to ask about the "Elephant(s)" in the room.
How did so many corrupt, immoral, unethical, un-American persons... accumulate so much wealth as to be able to buy our election/political process?
Are we that gullible, desperate for work, or more interested in...not being concerned about where our dollars are going...or do we not have the time to chase after all the bad actors in the private sector?
Too many bad actors within our species...not enough guard rails.
More guardrails and less corrupt and destructive actors to affect our daily lives.
There is no limit to ownership or greed. Common efforts (highways, schools, the military, and national assets such as land and resouces) can be privatized. Thus, the end result of Republican theory and policy is to condemn common ownership as socialism (aka taxes) which in practical terms is what keeps the nation from going under altogether. Wealth is limited only by public policy and law, your guard rails. The vast money machine will spin out of control until you legislate those laws. But good luck getting it past the Supremes.
Really needs to have limits/guardrails on the species when it comes to money and power. Founders thought that the three independent branches of Government would be sufficient? That worked out well.
Our SCOTUS is independent of all norms, ethics, morality, and conscious, and I feel confident in saying social history & intelligence. Most of these leaders are acting like the end of the world is around the corner.
With the clock at 90 seconds...maybe they know something we don't?
It arguably started when Reagan cut the top marginal income tax rate from 73% to 28% and the capital gains tax from 28% to 20%. Then he put John Shad (vice-chairman of EF Hutton) in charge of the SEC, and he instituted a rule making stock buybacks legal. It was a double-whammy that created a bunch of morbidly wealthy people.
That is the reality... and ever since Reagan, corporations and their elite have made the necessary inroads to take over the government. They can afford to buy Congressional seats and politicians and with corporate consolidation, price their goods at what the market will bear without concern over competitive pricing, (as there is none) Pretty sweet deal for them...not so good for the rest of us. Biden will have to do some fancy footwork to take control of the country again. If he can shine a spot light on the real culprits in away such that trumps MAGA voters can figure out that "we are not the enemy"...he will have a large enough mandate to reverse this nonsensical inequality in income and influence. The truth and the facts are out there it just needs to be made more understandable to the Trump voters. They are not stupid, just angry, greedy and somewhat self centered due to their lack of self confidence.
But Charlie Kirk will claim he's not a racist lol. TPUSA is basically the new-age KKK. You'd have to be a full-blown racist to support this nonsense. What's sad is that there are more overt racists now than at any point in my life. I'm 34
I'm constantly being surprised when these kinds of people (radical racists) pop up. I lived in Washington D.C. for awhile where I was "the minority" riding buses with Black people who were in the main just riding to work and other humdrum activities. No one ever bothered me, but I noticed that if I brought a white friend, they were always nervous being on the bus and wanted to sit up front near the exit. They're just people like the rest of us and they respond the same to threats as we would, if you want to make trouble for them. Look beyond what people look like and look instead at their body language and behavior. Superficial details rarely determine anything in an encounter.
Thanks for publicizing this. Charlie Kirk hangs with the worst. Most recently at Kent State with Kyle Rittenhouse. Ohio seems to have forgotten it was a Union state.
Sadly, Turning Point is based in Phoenix. AZ is home to the Alliance Defending Freedom, Goldwater Institute, and the Center for AZ Policy, all so far right, they could fall off the flat earth.
AZ has been under Republican control in the lege for over 30 years. But bringing us back to 1864 went too far. The pendulum will finally swing. Women will save AZ and the country.
Candidates should be judged by their supporters. While they cannot stop someone from endorsing them, they can reject the endorsement...and refund all the donations from objectionable (racist) supporters.
A thought:

Thanks again for the story, Judd.

Exactly. If they're white and they have a black friend, many people think that absolves them of racisim.
These guys sound like real pieces of shit.

Vote BLUE, like our lives really depend on it.

Thank you for this story. I have just gone online and made a donation to Senator Sherrod Brown.
Thank you! We need to get Sherrod re-elected!
I'm going to do that, too!
Yes we do. My husband grew up in Cincinnati and then Lancaster. We have special love for Ohio.
A “proud minority businessman,” just as Clarence Thomas is a “proud minority Supreme Court justice.”
Perfect, text book example of gaslighting and head spinning propaganda.
Gawd. Can’t we as a society hit bottom already, so we can begin the journey upwards again? SMH
