As usual, there is a lot of focus on who the presidential candidates will be and not on Republican attempts to depress the vote, affecting races up and down the ballot. Thanks for highlighting stories like these and helping keep national media accountable.

My question is where is the former Democratic leadership? On several occasions, we have seen former DOJ attorneys, former AGs, even never-Trumpers speak up forcefully about the endless injustices perpetrated by Trump GOP officials. Stacy Abrams raised $20M to fight voter irregularity...why isn't she highlighting the attempted voter purging in Ohio? Where are the former Democratic Congresspeople (who are not paid cable consultants) who should be publicly decrying the coordinated campaign of disinformation against Ms. Mueri? Where aren't former journalists publicly shaming Politico? Democracies don't die in darkness, they die of passivity, lack of leadership, and refusal to speak by those who have a platform.

You must have missed the fact that after the 2016 bullshit, as you put it, there are no more super delegates. As for getting rid of primaries and caucuses, how then do you propose to choose one candidate to represent your party in an overall general election if 20 people show up to represent your party? The only stupid aspect about anything you mention is the caucus. Whoever came up with that idea must have had a nightmare the night before because caucusing is one big cluster f**k!

We’ll see how Bernie does out of the caucus states he won last time because frankly, the caucus states was where Bernie did well. Super Tuesday is coming up on the third that should winnow out a few more candidates.

There is no depth to which the Republicans will not sink.

Oh, and I fully expect this fake story to be big on Fox News...........and at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

We need a large turnout in the election to clean out those in government who use such tactics. I hope that people are aware of all the disinformation being spread as we get closer to November. If we don’t change the direction the government is headed, I fear that our Republic will no longer exist as a beacon of hope in the world.

Noise. The louder they misinform, the less likely Meuri is going to get a fair shake. They are drowning her out due to the MSM's inaction.

I hate Politico. Misleading headlines just about every day. They are a "to the right leaning" lazy Labradoodle that chases every Trump and GOP ball tossed out into the field.

Cowardly journalism is getting us a facists state.

Bull sh*t lip service from the GOP to Veterans like her and Vindman is hardly covered by any MSM.

Thank you Judd, for your bravery.

We ALL need to get behind Meuri and bring this smear campaign to everyone’s attention. The republicans use these tactics when they feel threatened by a great candidate.

24 hours takes a lot of fast action to debunk this story, thankfully it happened quickly. Imagine how far it would have gone if not.
