When any of the Democratic presidential candidates propose a plan to improve health care, strengthen education, or reduce poverty, they are immediately confronted with a question: How are you going to pay for that? That's a question that is never asked about the military budget. Yet, in fiscal year 2018, the United States spent more than the next seven countries
This is the first election in which people born after 9/11 will be eligible to vote. Given that we've been mired in conflict since that day and continue to pursue new wars, I'm very interested to see how these new voters cast their ballots given this climate.
Democrats obviously haven’t learned the lesson from the last Govt shutdown. As you pointed out, they repeated the same game plays as last time. Trump’s coveted Military came first while what should be the *real* priority, people, are left dangling in the wind & fighting for leftover scraps. Such a crock of shit
The new push to sell our military power to the Saudis is just one example of Trump and his policy to use his position to get more money for himself.
He would sell it to North Korea if he could get hotels and towers.
This has been long standing US policy through many administrations to have big bodacious military budgets.
Trump just uses it like money is never a problem because the 1% who own the corps that get rich are winners take all. He is getting a piece of the take, you can surely bet.
The farm crisis and Tariffs. Another good example of money to burn. Throw billions to the farmers. Right SMH. The big Farm Corps the 1%, get most of it and Midwest small farmers are at all time bankruptcy and suicide rates. Trump will still get their damn votes.

Wake up. The purpose of war is to force more spending on those who run the arms industries.
