Someone I know well worked at the NY Observer when Kushner took over. He characterized the Boy Blunder as the single dumbest person he had ever met. Nothing Jared has done since has caused me to question that judgement.

BabsPHL's avatar

Not surprised that kushner is the "dumbest person" your friend ever met. He learned from the master dummy - FIL don - ivanka married clone of daddy. None of those kids has a brain worth saving!

Peter's avatar

Word is that it was an arranged marriage to unite two corrupt NY real estate families. Never forget the Boy Blunder's father was sent to prison for crimes he committed against his own brother. Pardoned by Fat Donnie, sent to Paris as ambassador.

I think New Yorkers referred to them as “Slum lords.”

If I remember correctly, when he took control, he told everyone that he heard Apple computers were the best - then after they were purchased, insisted they have Windows installed on all of them.

'Nuff said. Total Linthead.

Theresa Palmer's avatar

Oh hey! There’s a “b” in “dumbest!””Many people don’t even know that.” 😂

Honestly they deserve each other.

Ann Sharon's avatar

What does he need to know? How to stay on Drumpf’s good side? (Check) How to leverage that connection for money and influence? (Double Check) How to put a pleasant face (Diplomacy) on corruption? (Check)

I want to know how this works out for him. Are the ME countries going to forget that while they wanted more protection from Iran’s attacks for cooperating with the US (or hosting military installations) Kushner tried some strong arm “diplomacy” to get more $$$ into growing his “investment fund”?

Just look at the photo!

He's too weak to even be able to lift both of her feet!

(Obviously I jest. I really meant, at least not at the same time.)

Katie Galvin's avatar

That photo - their PR people were like let's get a photo of you in Iceland to pretend that you two actually talk to each other. Imagine how many takes it took for him to lift her up

NanceeM's avatar

Maybe he got an AI lift!

Adam's avatar

I'm sorry but "SOB" I just can't! Now head hurts.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

What can I say, Adam?

That photo was a rare gift, and we're given relatively few of them now in Trumpica.

And if there's a bigger, more obvious dweeb on Planet Earth than he, I'm unaware of it.

Adam's avatar

You got that right!

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

Notice that we can't see what she'll actually land on when he drops her (other than her ass...)

I didn’t realize he had a smile.

It never, ever reaches his eyes.

"It runs in the family..." then explodes like a meal from the infamous Taco Bell!

Word of the day, kakistocracy, rule by the worst people. In January 2029, all the Middle East governments will be pulling their money out of Affinity Partners despite its “impeccable” performance.

RobWhitH's avatar

I would guess they might be a bit dissatisfied right now with Mr. Trump because he's got Iran shooting at them.

Kushner is the tyrump's idea of a smart person. That is not an endorsement anyone should ever want.

Adam's avatar

Hahahahahahaha! You're damn right.

You saved the best for last - and so symbolic of how Kushner and his wealthy buddies operate: he bought stolen land! Whether he vetted the deal for any corruption or just barged through and said, "This is mine!" is unclear but who cares? The Albanian people care, but as far as the Kushners are concerned, they got a great deal while thinking they were scamming the seller of Sazan Island. Ha ha, the seller is sailing around the island in his new yacht.

The Palestinian people are not amused.

Ann Marie's avatar

Despite his “focus on peace deals” with everyone he (and Witless) always have time for wheeling and dealing. You can never have enough pals in the ME, Russia. It pays to have friends. I hope they both end up in prison but they won’t. Nauseating.

The whole tribe are land grabbers, That and lying are their two major attributes.

They are land thieves. big time.

The amount of cognitive dissonance and denial is unmatched in the modern history of the world.

Anyone who believes anything out of the Trump White House, or what's left of it, has to be either dumb as a rock or complicit. My vote is for the latter.

GingerLee's avatar

these names will be going down in history with rasputin, madoff, ponzi, hitler etc etc ...trump, bibi, bezos, musk, kushner etc etc will be added

"According to the prosecutors, Shehu used forged ownership documents to acquire land on the peninsula, which he then sold to Kushner’s development group for $120 million."

Excellent reporting, as always.

In which case they bought nothing more than a forged title. a piece of worthless paper.

Another example of how corruption and greed are the hallmarks of this regime, seasoned with outright meanness and narcissism. Add a large dose of disdain for our constitution (or any laws) and lesser people, and you have a picture of the Regime, the Republican party in its current incarnation (not the party of Lincoln, TR) and what they are doing to the American Experiment and enlightenment thinking.

Judd, Thank You! Peter, Stuart great points! Little j and Little t fit the same mold just Stupid, Crooked, and Narcissistic… eventually they will crash & burn.. let’s not let them take us with them. Mid Terms are the last hope!

I love the word Trump Mafiaocracy. Wish I had invented it, but I didn't! The Trump Crime Family at work.

Someday, I hope. we'll learn what transpires at these meetings and "hours of negotiations" that Kushner and Witkoff have with the likes of Putin and Netanyahu.

I suspect, after the initial exchange of pleasantries about clothes, watches, real estate developments, etc., Kushner and Witkoff sit there . . . listening.

Then, on to the next fiasco!

Adam's avatar

Or, after the pleasantries, K & W wax poetic about a world that exists only in their imaginations, where the money flows freely and the Gaza strip is now the Gaza swimming pool while the folks they're "negotiating" with sit there in silence, teeth clenched, wondering just how much crack did these jokers smoke beforehand.

Pamela S.'s avatar

Transforming these meetings into a play would be fascinating. "So, if you add some land for us to turn into a resort, then we will finish this peace deal."

Joe Weicher's avatar

But not quite as uplifting as Lawrence Wright’s “Camp David.”

Pamela S.'s avatar

Thank you for the reference to Wright's book: Thirteen Days in September. I recall that meeting, however, I was unfamiliar with the book. Unlike the present occupant of the now "Offal Office", President Carter did not rush the process. He stayed with it.. only calling his mother and asking her to pray for him.

Devastating article - thanks for the info all in one place.

Frankly, I believe all the parties to the negotiation from the warring countries understand how inept Witkoff and Kushner are at negotiations, but don't care because they can continue the conflict hoping to achieve their goals. To me, it is and always has been a sham the real purpose of which is to enrich the Witkoff and Kushner families. The ever-changing public statements, the on-and-off again negotiations, and the over-all lack of progress must irritate the professionals in the Department of State to no end.
