"For Trump and his allies, the FDA's decision is a political embarrassment." - This line made me LOL. I love it but hate it because we are being led by a brain-dead lunatic who just says whatever he feels like with no evidence. What's worse is that his brainless followers eat it up like gospel. The entire world is entering a dark period. We cannot elect officials who support conspiracy theories and make decisions based on themselves as opposed to the greater good. Biden is the only remaining logical choice this November.

I highly doubt Trump is actually taking either chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine but if he is, one has to wonder if it has had negative effects given the outward signs of degeneration in his physical health. Of course that degeneration could also be the result of years of drug abuse, poor diet and just general overall undisciplined self-indulgence. There’s also the possibility of karma setting in.

I’m not all that sure the drug abuse has stopped. He still acts as though he’s either high on something or coming down from a high(think manic tweeting at all hours or shuffling down a dry ramp). Then there’s that mysterious trip he took to Walter Reed a couple or three weeks back. No reason given but it must have been significant in light of the fact that the WH is pretty well equipped to handle most emergencies. T is not physically or mentally healthy.

Yet another obscene scam by #Mangowanker and his buddies to make money. Just like mobsters everywhere in the world, they push products which often harm the buyers, just to feed their disgusting greed. My preferred solution is to keep up the pressure on #Mangowanker until he has a massive stroke:

Disabling and debilitating, unable to tweet, incontinent and helpless and unable to speak, but fully aware of the prison hospital.

For us science geeks please link to the original scientific paper (at NEJM) rather than a news report about the research. News reports can be notoriously inaccurate even when they're not deliberately spreading 'fake news'. That way if there are any retractions or corrections to the published article that will be seen by somebody looking at the data - a news report won't carry the updated retractions/corrections. Malaria kills almost half a million people yearly - making it almost criminal to stockpile chloroquine for covid-19 when there's no good evidence it helps, because it IS mostly highly effective (some resistance by the parasite is showing up) preventative and treatment against Malaria.

It's also helpful for victims of lyme disease. A good friend recently found it difficult to fill his prescription.
