Crypto is a scam. Trump is a scammer. It's a match made in Hell.

Perhaps more on crypto currency would help those of us who still do not understand how this all works?

I understand how you feel. I suspect most of the MAGA folk who have or will buy them will find out the hard way how they work!

Crypto is like chips you get at casinos they are gambling tokens. At a casino you buy chips and then gamble and then redeem them for money (the chips have a fixed value backed by the casino). Just subtract the games that you play in a casino. Replace the chips with"crypto" let the value float and that becomes the game. (crypto has a floating value backed by nothing)

All you need to know about crypto and why it can never be what they claim. In other words - it's a ponzi scheme, gambling, fraud, money laundering and bait and switch (akak 'rug pull') all in one: https://www.stephendiehl.com/posts/against_crypto/

Who's we? Paging Merrick Garland. Paging Merrick Garland. Merrick Garland to the blame wing immediately.

Hey CJ. What's up my friend? I only meant we as in the good ole U S of A.

Regular folks convicted him based on his criminations not his politics. Any reasonable person who listened to and examined the stacks of evidence would have done the same. Unfortunately, un-reason has now taken command for this round.

I was just reading some quote from a 30ish Hispanic influencer who said the president elect won because his "values" aligned with, blah, blah... Values?

Hey Adam. I was just messing around. I knew you meant the "royal we."

You're completely right. Regular people indicted and convicted the next guy in jurisdictions across the nation. Our DOJ, on the other hand, sat by placidly, finally throwing a redwell of evidence into Smith's lap as the final seconds ticked away for him to race to make a case in the court of an obstructionist loyalist judge. Garland instead led his department to pursue a thousand other low-level rioters, letting the big fish and the mountains of evidence he broadcast off the hook. Now, not only is he free, but so are all of the convicted too. Nice work.🤨

I'll be interested to hear the tune that influencer sings when the anti-Black and Brown purges set into motion sweep him or those close to him up. What will he say about President Values then? Cognitive dissonance: it's a helluva drug.

You familiar with a band called the Psychadelic Furs? They have a song called "President Gas." You can substitute "Ass" or "Trash" for gas and it works right fine!

I finally mostly understand this elusive topic, after reading your article. But completely understand how $trump cryptocurrency has already cheapened the White House once again, but this time more deftly. It will only get worse.

Start the grift countdown. His new SEC will turn away from its mission. We will have no protection against scams like this and our new president will be raking in 💰

No doubt many of the cult have seized the opportunity to get rich quick. Without realizing they won't. It's a piggy bank for foreign countries to buy our government.

Meme coins are crypto tokens tied to a celebrity or joke. This one is tied to a (dark and dangerous) celebrity and a sick sadistic joke. It could not be more apt - or more of a threat.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of well intentioned people who believe cryptocurrency is not only legitimate, but necessary because they’ve lost faith in our government and our banking system. They may be right.

Being well intentioned doesn't protect you from losing everything on a gamble.

Crypto is like counterfeit money. When has counterfeit money been a good thing? The idea that Crypto is better than our banking system is the same logic that leads people to "improve their life by using Fentanyl "

I agree with you, but not everyone does, including people who supported our democracy. (Yes, ‘past tense’ was intentional.)
