It feels strange asking newspapers to do actual investigative journalism, but here we are. Thanks, Pop Info, for filling in the gaps.

The 97% figure is the tell. Six of 202 articles mentioned the conflict—-five in the Times, one a Foreign Policy republish in the Post.

The rest won’t touch it, even though the conflict IS the story. These grifters are looting the country in broad daylight. They’re no different from the oligarchs in Pakistan or Iran, that’s how authoritarian regimes work, full stop.

So Kushner-in-Pakistan gets written up as clean diplomacy and the conflict lives only in op-eds nobody cross-references. Scandal hiding in plain sight, go figure.

All media are scared shitless of tRumpie. Threats and lawsuits at the drop of a hat. Days of Walter Kronkite are over. Substack is the only place to get decent information.

Kyle Holbrook's avatar

Substack is owned by Billionaires, same as the rest.

Very critical reporting on Jared's Saudi conflict of interest. And, pointing out the few Reps that are helping us. Much appreciated!

Coupled with Jared's deep affinity with Israel and being at Netanyahu's Beck and call, also urging initiation and continuation of this Trump initiated war.... how much are we, the American taxpayers being billked by Jared, Donald, Eric Don Jr and... Baron's cashing in? There are rumors there are key people profiting from the weekendly pump and dumps... probably I'd be looking at those family ties first...

Thanks, Judd... keep on this!!

kdsherpa's avatar

How much are we being bilked? Billions and billions of dollars.

And EVERY ELECTED REPUBLICAN is complicit with Trump’s astounding corruption!

OMG

GOP

WTF!

Just a few of news outlets have published the existence of Kushner’s Korrupt Konflicts. None have reported on Raskin’s reminders and remedies for functional congressional oversight AKA their actual job.

Big Sigh.

Why am I not surprised?

Jack McCain's avatar

If you go to the MSNOW website, you will find a lengthy story about Raskin's investigation that was posted on April 17.

RD's avatar

All this in addition to his total lack of qualifications.

JenneJ's avatar

....and inability to pass a security clearance.

Patric Martin's avatar

Right! I forgot that.

GenevieveG's avatar

I think a LOT of people forget this 'little' bit - He has NO - NONE business in this role of behalf of us .... I want my $$ back!!!

J. Marsh's avatar

We all know that Kushner’s f-i-l does not feel compelled to comply with any standards of behavior, including rules of law. .

J. Marsh's avatar

I am not in the newspaper business, but I assure you that I have never forgotten Kushner was unable to get a security clearance

Frau Katze's avatar

That’s the icing on the cake.

Katy Bolger's avatar

All of those publications that you mentioned could and should publish the letter you excerpt from Jamie Raskin to Jared Kushner. That alone would go a long way in forgiving the press for their cowering fear at the feet of Twump the demigod pig - and it is NEWS, the thing they are supposed to report. I will contact the two papers I subscribe to: NYTimes and Boston Globe this morning.

JenneJ's avatar

My hero....such an inspiration. I sent notice to AP and Washington Post along with a copy of the Raskin letter. But I bet they will have a hard time finding the "Honorable" Jim Jordan and "Honorable" Todd Blanche to cc this letter to.

Adam's avatar

Hahahahaha! Honorable + Jordan & Blanche = a number less than zero on any scale of measurement.

The billionaires who buy newspapers for the purpose of suppressing information are traitors to America. The MAGA pod casters are controlled by Russia just like Robert Hanssen. Hanssen was sent to super max prison in Florence Colorado in 2002 and spent the rest of his life behind bars. That is where the Billionaires like Jeff Bazos and the pod casters like Tim Pool, Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson should be spending the rest of their lives.

Katy Bolger's avatar

They might like to be in a cell together and swap complaints about Democrats, women, Black people etc. then they could go to the yard and lift weights and spot one another like true bros. Then they could all go the showers together and show off their new stick and poke tattoos of white supremacist symbols. Then back to the cell and some affirmations.

mark's avatar

Super max is different than other prisons, Inmates have limited contact with corrections officers and other inmates. They spend 22 hours a day in their cell, a single soundproof, seven-by-12-foot concrete cell. A former warden of the prison described it as a “clean version of hell.”

Suzn Sez's avatar

Super Max sounds kinda like my place, which I consider a much dirtier version of heaven.

Patt's avatar

It's on brand that Tim Pool is a MAGA influencer. He dropped out of school at 14 yrs old.

Katy Bolger's avatar

I like my influencers to finish 11th grade.

JenneJ's avatar

Who's not talking about this? I thought we covered this ground with your March 11th article. Don't you recall me saying Jared and Steve Witkoff are wholly unacceptable choices to be negotiating American interests in the Middle East?!? Please tell me you haven't forgotten Jared Kushner was unable to get a security clearance because of his business ties with foreign leaders. How is it even possible that someone who cannot pass a security clearance is negotiating the interests of Americans in any way?

But true enough PI, unlike Trump, Kushner does not enjoy immunity from prosecution. I stand with Raskin. That man knows his shit.

SeekingReason's avatar

Raskin is very good. We need him and more like him.

kdsherpa's avatar

He's consistently outstanding.

Suzn Sez's avatar

We'd be lucky to find even one at Raskin's level. He's exceptional.

Great reporting on substantial issues of critical importance to improving our nation. Please share more about aspects of this story! Thank you!

Once again Popular Information does the reporting that most (97%!) of the media refuses.

The same media that breathlessly reported on any and everything the GOP manufactured about the Bidens.

Does Popular Information ever move those outlets that ignore these historic crimes and conflicts of interest in reporting on them?

Katy Bolger's avatar

Yeah, I still go back to James Comey and the two weeks before the 2016 election announcement that a new computer related to Hillary Clinton was located and they intended to search it for documents. That was it. That was the announcement that did not need to be made and yet, he did. And those breathless reporters wrote about it, assuring that all the garbage that Twump had been shoveling their way, got retold and retold again. All garbage, all retold.

But Comey, oh Comey, he put Martha Stewart behind bars twenty years ago. He apparently and quite obviously, has a big problem with powerful women.

Karen's avatar

I'm sure Commrade Comey was properly rewarded for his part to destroy HRC's 2016 bid for presidency.

Katy Bolger's avatar

I hate to say it because it involves his lawyer daughter. It seems she took the karma that was coming to him. Not sure that his "reward" was worth the results.

T_Allen's avatar

If you look, The Guardian mentions Kushner's conflict of interest on a regular basis. Of the publications you list, I only read the NYT but back it up with The Guardian, LeMonde, SCMP and Japan Times. I haven't read the WP since Bezos took over e.g. before Trump.

CREO by C. C. Yager's avatar

Kushner is no trained, experienced diplomat. It is embarrassing that he has been sent to do diplomatic work. Wittkopf is no trained, experienced diplomat either. Where are all the trained, experienced diplomats? Why aren't they being sent to negotiate with Iran? How can Iran, or any country, take the USA seriously if America keeps sending inexperienced, incompetent people to wage diplomacy?

Ann Marie's avatar

Boggles my mind

Janet Jeffers's avatar

And this is not to mention any broadcast outlets, which is as far as many Americans ever go for news. It’s laughable to even think of Fox News covering this. Our public is so sadly misinformed.

Katy Bolger's avatar

Yes, true, but not a laughing matter. When can we laugh again? Let's wait to see if Twump falls down Air Force One's stairs and get ourselves a good chuckle (and feel bad for laughing at an old man, not.)

Adam's avatar

Suggested Edit: "(and feel bad for laughing at an old dried up, nasty TURD, not.)"

Ann Marie's avatar

Keep ‘em distracted and uninformed. Can’t recall who said an educated populace should be avoided.

Abbie's avatar

I think most of the news reported by the media is what the government wants you to see, while news about illegal activities is prohibited from being broadcast.

Jim Carmichael's avatar

Judd, you are saying it out loud, as usual. Thank you!

Thank you for shining the light on this “out there for all to see” corruption!! I hope he gets his justice!!!

Am I the only one who has noticed that his eyes are never focused on anything? It's like he's an image created by some rudimentary AI bot in its infancy. It's unsettling - because after reading more about his "business acumen", I really do think there's nobody home.
