Indeed. Everything we’ve seen so far gives us every indication of how wrong everything can go. I still say, this country should, if or when things do get out of control, bring a class action lawsuit against these fools(who are)currently “in charge”, as they are so clearly, not.
This is beyond inexcusable. Trump fired all the competent medical professionals. The US has insufficient test kits & ideally everyone coming from the areas within exposed countries should be tested on arrival at US airports- not happening. US has insufficient protective supplies for medical personnel. What happens when they become sick & we don't have the staff to assist in hospitals. As a nursing manager for decades, these are all important & frightening situations. Trump only is concerned about the financial crisis which is bound to become have worst possible consequences in the coming days.
Airlines cancelling flights, layoffs in manufacturing- a snowball effect.
Situations like Ozmel Martinez Azcue's in the closing of this piece, I think, help explain why Bernie Sanders is leading the Democratic Party primary and is generating so large and diverse a following. Our system is indeed broken, and putting aside considerations of feasibility, I believe Medicare for All is something toward which to aspire.
