Elon Musk calling out Kamala Harris for not being a "mother" when he's a serial deadbeat father to his own biological children, including a trans daughter he repeatedly deadnames and treats as if she's dead to him, is such on-the-nose villainy that, if it were presented to an editor as a work of fiction, would be summarily rejected as implausible.

Glad I got banned four years ago. I liked Twitter but would never go back

I don't understand why it hasn't been abandoned en masse. I've never used it and given what it has become, I am glad I dodged that bullet.

I ask the same thing about much of social media, be it FB or X. The rationalizations and cognitive dissonance required to be educated about the damage they cause vs the 'benefits' is difficult to fathom.

If I hadn’t been banned, I would have quit when Must took over. All should and watch his power dissipate like a stuck balloon. If there were another option, that would happen, same with FB. I miss some connections. Substack is good but different. Spoutible tries but not the numbers and options of others. That said, the negatives weigh heavy.

This type of big money interference is really hard to fight. Technology makes that even harder. If you control a “social media” platform you control the low information voter , the historically ignorant ,the gullible , the bigots and misogynists and radical religious groups and most frighteningly the minds of the young who only know news and information and well reasoned analysis only fleetingly, if at all. Money has bought this dangerous egomaniac a large platform to support another dangerous egomaniac. We have to fight like hell to make a government that works for the people and not the fantasy of trickle down economics and rule by self appointed elites

Elon Musk was born and raised in Apartheid South Africa and only emigrated after it was clear White Supremacy in South Africa was coming to an end. He has been programmed to actually believe his white skin makes him superior to all others.

Right. And I believe his family his fortune comes from emerald mines. I can only imagine the suffering that was involved in that. Suffering not by the white owners.

His grandfather was a ‘technocrat.’ The group was pushed out of CAN and so the family went to South Africa. Although the grandfather died while Musk was very young, Musk’s actions & statements reflect his technocracy beliefs — although not overtly about changing the US. A world where robots do the work and a few ‘experts’ make the decisions.

—In 2019, Musk tweeted, “accelerating Starship development to build the Martian Technocracy.” —

Stephen, I agree. Don’t support this..I had over 700 followers and left the minute muskolini bought it. We’ve all lived without this before, it’s not as needed as people convince themselves it is. Instead of whining and complaining about being "banned" from X, why don't ALL OF YOU just leave? Only the dregs and hangers on of short form hatred and fearmongering stay on a platform this horrible! Find another way to spread your 180 characters. X is SO OVER! simply a hatefest for the unoriginal thinkers who've stayed too long at this disrespectful dangerous place. GTFO it!

I do not use Twitter, and am waiting for people to tank the platform by switching to something else. Leave it for the right wing fascists, so that it goes the route of obsolescence. Also, I would like to point out that Musk is one of the Tech Bros who are backing Juvie Vance. I hear whispers that their plan is to install Juvie as VP, and then have him file article 25 so that he can take over as Pres by claiming Trump is unfit. Since Thiel and Musk want to run the US through virtue of being White Supremacist Billionaires, we can imagine that Project 2025 will be their playbook, but so will other rich, egomaniac things. They see Vance as their puppet in the White House, and in this interview Musk can gather a lot of stuff to later show Trump is unfit, after he gets done talking it up as being a good reason why Trump should be president. He should just come out and say, "Vote for Trump because he is White and Male and nothing else matters!" However, the Heritage Foundation seems to have a plan for implementing Project 2025, whether or not unreliable Trump wants to, but placing one of their guys into the role of Chief of Staff. If they have their way (read Chapter 1 of Project 2025 called The White House Office), where the COS has been given enormous powers as the gatekeeper to access to the president, and the VP is there to serve at the Whim of. The COS also talks about the auto signature. Clearly the COS plans to use that to make sure everything is signed whether or not Trump wants it. So, there seem to be 2 plans to circumvent Trump once getting him in power. Both should be avoided since Juvie is a nasty piece of work as is Trump. Let us get a win-win with The Prosecutor and The Coach, instead of the Criminal and the Couch!

Do you get this STD from couches? Asking for a guy from Ohio.

Expand full comment

Depends what you have stuck between the cushions. An unclean .... could do it. I remember working in a French deli and cutting my thumb with a sharp knife while cutting liver pate, and going to the ER. In the next curtained section I heard a doctor very harshly telling an old man that his penis was so gangrenous it would have to be amputated. The man started to make some moans of protest and the doctor told him he could get a second opinion anywhere but they would concur with him (arrogant White doctor with old Black man who looked poor to me when I got a glimpse). Needless to say the old man was not the only one traumatized by his news and bedside manner. When my mom took me home I asked her why his penis would be gangrenous and infected and she said probably from syphilis that had gone untreated. My daughter had to hear that story, as did her friends, when talking about using condoms to protect from STDs. It does not sound like our Juvie friend, who has the social emotional development of a stunted teenager, is the kind to use condoms. However, I guess we have to ask his wife. It reminds me of how the mom of one of my daughter's friends, who is from China, planned for her daughter to go to Yale so she could marry a Yalie. No caring about her daughter having her own career, which she plans on doing, but just go to Yale to marry a Yalie. Wondering if that was the goal for JDVs wife too. When my friend said this to me about her daughter I just said, the reputation of Yale is that the men are so arrogant that the fraternity chant is "No means yes, and yes means anal." So, I just think that she should be glad that Juvie is not her daughter's "successful marriage."

Hahahaha! Yep. And from humpin hamberders to wearing a tie that's longer than your, ahem... member ALL are symptoms of the same dread STD called JDV.

From what I understand, symptoms also include the nads drawing back up into and beyond the scrotal sack, nigh up into the brain-house proper. Kinda makes for skewed thinking, ya know? Or should that be "screwed?"

Yes it does. Although I think of the initials standing for Juvenile Delinquent, Juvie for short, and it reminds me of my friend's mom, who called kids at our school that she did not like GD, JDs! As in warning us to stay away from them. That is how I feel about JD, and there is no antibiotic against that.

It was Kenneth Boulding, the late president of the American Association for the advancement of science, who explained in his presidential address to the AAAS, that veracity, or telling the truth as best we can, is a core underlying value of both science and democracy.

His lengthy but elucidating address can be found in the February 1980 issue of Science magazine.

When I found this, I better understood why anti-democracy forces also attack science and question scientific methods of inquiry.

Thanks for this update on an old problem.

Thank you Judd, Rebecca, and Noel for investigating the unrelenting cruel distortion of Eon Musk's use of his billions to promote Donald Trump. He has seized upon Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as his targets for false political slander. We need to know and promote truth that clears away what stands in the way of electing admirable and wise people who can do much good for our country, and thus for the rest of the world (especially Ukraine and Gaza).

Musk is a child. Anyone needing that much money and that much attention, and who is incapable of seeing the negative effects of lying while expressing those lies, is a threat to society and to the world. He is a national security risk and has proven it by his support of fellow oligarch Vladimir Putin and his illegal meddling in state affairs, both as a commentator and a strategic partner to the state and defense departments. He is exhibit #1 in the need to abolish dark money by suitable legislation or constitutional amendment. Assuming we last that long.
