You really have to admire (read: loathe and detest) the GOP's commitment to shielding sexual predators from wrongdoing. I don't love the Democratic Party, but the Republican Party is off the rails on so many levels.
I agree with your statement but not with your choice of words “The Woke Left”? Way to take a Republican talking point and regurgitate it. Every time one of their trigger words are repeated, they win. Your point could’ve been just as easily been made without using a right-wing propaganda machine word
Even if you are correct in your assertion that the left originally coined the term “woke” and I’m not certain that you are, it is now widely accepted as a sarcastic insult to anyone who exhibits an awareness of social injustice. Urbandictionary.com’s most recent entries list it’s meaning as being “deluded” or having “fake awareness”.
I feel so helpless about the VA Governors race. Not to mention the state of the right wing media. Nevertheless I reposted this column to my Twitter feed, hope it will help a little.
Well, I sent it to Asra. I probably won't hear back from her because I'd already answered questions from her about the specific gender identity questions the school had to complete on a survey (anonymously).
It wasn’t aimed to help trans people. That would be a totally different article. Quite honestly, I think you’re looking for a fight, and I’m not going to give you one.
I ask because it appears that you misconstrued the content. The article was not dismissive of the importance of prosecuting sexual assault of women (let alone of ”cis” - as opposed to trans, a distinction you make that seems to show your own bias). Judd did his best to lay the confusion of trans rights in the Loudon cty case at the feet of right wing media/candidates; even the article’s title made crystal clear that candidates were using the two (Herero) sexual assaults for political purposes, inappropriately. Yet you attack him and “the left” for falling into traps that you yourself are seemingly standing in. Makes no sense to me.

Thank you. Better put than any blathering I might have come up with. 🙂

>It's the Left's smug elevation of the most trivial issues that is helping the Right to win, <
That's the media narrative...
