Title to this excellent piece should be

"ATT, Altria, Google support the racists screaming slurs at local politicians."

We have to be as direct (and click-baity) as they are.

(not to mention that Texas was part of Mexico to begin with)

Just makes me sick. I loved living in Texas 30 plus years ago. Thank you for reporting on these issues. That's two more in the House of Representatives that will vote blindly for the GOP. Interesting donor list. Pepsi, too? I am going on an Ice Tea junket.

Just saw on Twitter a North Texas Election Chief has been arrested for his part in the Jan. 6 Insurrection.

I would say the money is on it unless one of the Reps comes from El Paso which has Democratic Rep. But the folks aren't moving to El Paso. The growth has happened in and around Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin. Even Austin is a Republican strong hold. You can find the demographics on the USCensus.gov for those cities last updated in 2017 and see the change in numbers even four years ago.

Then there is Texas Gerrymandering. The districts are drawn to help the GOP and thin minority voting. Thanks for asking!

The state has a Republican Gov and legislature. And 2Republican Senators which likely tells you all you need to know about voter supression and gerrymandering. Suburbs and outliers obviously are thining the vote. As far as I can recall Ann Richards was the last Democrat who served as Governor of Texas back in the 90s

Ain't that the truth! I loved Ann Richards. She was a great Gov. I left Texas for the last time living there in April of 1993. We saw her in Austin on a trip in Feb that year. Liked her well enough to go to a public political event she held.

Oh Penny the suburbs are even worse.

Maybe they didn’t ask enough people. Or maybe liberals were hesitant to DECLARE, while the criminal Rs still hold top jobs. There’s always work to do, but Houston IS pretty progressive.

Does Allen West think he's white? Does True Texas know he replaced a white GOP chairman?

Jake G.'s avatar

Wow, hahaha Allen West sounds like a deranged psychopath...has he looked in the mirror? Does he think being a racist and conspiracy theorist will make the white folks of Texas accept him as one of their own?

Since there are only 2 mobile phone companies, who do you Boycott. How about an article on the Monopolies and Oligopolies.

They are ALL the same, that's part of the problem with Oligopolies, you can't drop them all and when there are only a few companies providing the Entire Country with a product, you are FORCED to spend against your own interests.

I do think T mobile is the least bad...but they're still not great.

Texas is the leader. Republicans elsewhere will follow.
