I mean, if you can't publicly commit to expanding voting rights, what are you even doing? Every one of these corporations should be hammered on their commitment to the cause.

We must hold corporations accountable. Since corporations are now people (cf. Citizens United), shouldn’t they be held to the same standards when they behave criminally? Or boycotted when they betray public trust? Of course, first they must understand that they serve the public—including their workers—not just their own corporate interests.

The only thing more discouraging than the corporate support for anti-democracy is the Democrat's not making a major marketing and messaging campaign around the cause while it slipped away in plain sight

It doesn't seem possible that any voting legislation can come close to being adopted.

It's almost as if the Democrat leadership is more concerned about companies than people and are just making noise about something they had no plans really work for.

The aim of corporate oligarchy is not just to avoid regulation by government; it is to BE the government. Threatening Republicans if they did not pass the tax cut giveaway to the rich and supporting restricting the voting rights needed to support a democracy are consistent actions.

As long as the GOP controls government, corporations will bribe them. When Dems have 60 votes in the Senate, donations to Repugs will dry up

Judd - I greatly appreciate this information, but the perps are so numerous and so big that it would ALSO be useful to identify the very worst corporate actors so that motivated citizens could deliver a focused message. Conversely, are there ANY responsible corporations I can patronize beyond Patagonia?
