It is mind boggling to me that Republicans ignore the corruption of this president. Beyond being hypocritical, it is disgraceful. I wonder every day how republicans live with this truth and then I realize they probably are not listening to the truth to make themselves feel better about the demise of our county.

I think it might be time to raise that fine a bit more than $200. Thank you for you reporting on this, Judd. I so appreciate all you guys do.

It would increase eyes on their own stock trades!

Coming from the guy who was hawking Teslas from the White House, it's unsurprisingly brazen. It also sounds like it won't amount to much if all he's incurring is $200 fines.

This is why the midterms are so important. Having a Congress to do oversight of this corrupt, careless, callous, chaotic Queens real estate mob boss and his selfempretzeling administration is the last guardrail before our country runs itself off the democratic edge into the authoritarian Christofascist abyss.

Anyone in any position to prosecute, and doesn't, should rot in hell whenever they get there.

The list of actual crimes just keeps growing. I say "actual" because Twump's presence in the White House is a crime unto itself. It is a result of all the bad in humanity finding a valve to release itself, like opening Pandora's box, and all the nasty vibes, fumes and illicit actions come oozing out and slime us all. Clean up on aisle America!

This is really incredible reporting. Unfortunately, the Republican lemmings will just insert their heads further up Trump's backside while announcing "Nothing to see here!!."

The swamp is overflowing! I thought he was going to drain it.

Add this to all the market manipulation he's doing with his bullshit pronouncements over Iran and you have a pattern of criminal behavior that even a Liberty Law graduate could litigate and win. But he will skate on this just like everything else. These are, after all, official presidential acts per John Roberts.

Either not enough Americans know about this and/or understand iits implications, or they just simply don’t feel betrayed by those in the current government allowing this to happen. It seems as a country the USA has taken money over humanity (social services, quality of life for the masses) to a new level.

South Koreans felt betrayed by their government in 2016 when corruption like this was exposed. South Koreans then used their democracy to oust their president. It is the true statement of who we are that we have not done so.

Dave Drell's avatar

Without Democrats in charge of Congress he will get away with this time and time again.

After the 2016 election, he refused to divest himself of his financial holdings, and you just KNEW these shenanigans would start once he was in the WH.

We all know he’s a crook… amazing that the market listens and reacts to his plugs. This comment was UNSOLICITED.

Shawn Miller's avatar

A comment about hindsight—he should never have been allowed to assume the presidency without releasing his financials. We’ve all known his sole focus is self-aggrandizement and using $ as the yardstick of success.

The WH is now his cash register!

Frau Katze's avatar

He’s now a billionaire from grifting!

Only $200. That is so pathetic. We need to ramp up accountability.

mark's avatar

$200 fine is not a punishment, it is a trivial cost of profiting from insider information.
