A multinational conglomerate performatively playing both ends against the middle, while shelling out some bux and getting paid big? Check.

OMG... The senseless spending of huge gobs of money in politics is about as insane as the huge expenditure by Russia to destroy a beautiful country. It stuns me senseless to see so many resources pissed away for... what? Think of the good that could be accomplished with all the wasted money... and don’t get me started on the senseless hate fueling this ignorance.... talk about sad... 🥶🤦‍♀️🤯

Start a campaign to generate buzz/controversy while secretly contributing to politicians opposed to the cause you promote. We've seen this time and again. These companies are playing us. Thanks, Judd, for helping cut through the meshugas.

Funny how most all corporate directors and board members are primarily and in most cases only interested in profits and have no problem playing and paying all sides in order to diversify and strengthen their bottom lines. As they are the "chosen ones" and the public, the others, are simply consider ignorant manipulated consumers.

Been doing it for a long time now with great results for themselves and their shareholders...but not so much for the marginal masses of society, when countered by the violent, right, conservative, bigoted, mobsters that have been given license by Trump to... be freely armed and roam the country looking to destroy anything offensive to their misinterpretation of strength, unity, and acceptance. The new Un-United States of America...seek out, divide, and destroy at any cost.

I betcha none of those Repubs getting the money will offer to give it back.

Kid Rock and Travis Tritt are going on concert tour to protest the ad and trans people. They saw big dolla in the backlash so opportunity called.

Can't make this stuff up.

Good reporting PI

It really was a disservice to democracy to spread the idea that politics and businesses/economics are somehow separate spheres. So many people will say "I don't get involved in politics", without realizing that the money they spend every day is political.

It seems that every good corporate story has a bad ending.

However, something is NOT being addressed here. These politicians, celebrities and others are making terroristic threats that have no consequences whatsoever! We need to strongly demand punishment that any other (especially black) person would get! This lack of action/punishment allows this audacious dangerous activity to flourish. It’s as if deadly threats are OK as long as Republicans do the threats! ENOUGH!

The only sign of hope, is the backlash we’re seeing in red states with endless mass murders! They are eating their own, the entire republican party has stupidly stood by Fascism & violence. They are the inciters of death threats and death! We need this in the media at all times…not the bulk of rt wing owned stations (they won’t give honest journalism) but every other form of media where it can go viral.

Bud Light is nasty, little better than colored water. But don't stop drinking it because it is "woke" or because Budweiser supports LGBTQ+ causes, stop drinking it because your taste buds deserve better.

This is like the scene in Casablanca when the police inspector says “I am shocked, shocked I say, to discover gambling in this establishment”. That said, having worked for a large multinational for decades it is common for one hand to not know what the other is doing, in fact it is more common than not. As for politicians like Crenshaw and MTG and those of their ilk who really cares? Anyone who looks to politicians for ethical guidance will only end up broke and depressed.

I think Twitter has become irrelevant, the entire social media industry is a giant pump and dump scene where hosts bilk advertisers over inflated viewer statistics and influencer driven revenue is suspect at best. No one will ever really know how much money placed here will drive revenue over there.

Finally, all these people throwing out Budweiser products remind me of those protests in places like Afghanistan and Iran where you see thousands in the streets. Doesn’t anyone have a job to go to?

Right, so now, instead of corporate Greenwashing, we have corporate Rainbowwashing, lovely.

It’s what is called “doing business” in the US. It’s all about the money. I wonder if Anheuser-Busch has employees take ethics training?

There are so many good local and craft beers out these days, why would anyone pay to drink that swill?

The only thing greater than addiction to alcohol and drugs is addiction to hate.

I still don't understand why the right hates trans people so much.

Basically Bud Light is doing what pretty much all major producers of consumables do--making sure that the product has appeal for even niche members of society--a position which is completely independent of what the corporation itself "thinks" about social issues.

That's why water is frequently branded "gluten free." Or lettuce

I had no idea there were so many males out there who are so insecure and worried about their own sexuality that they'd dump their beer down the drain in order to feel like "men."

But then, why did Budweiser throw big money at right wing causes? Bad attempts at tax breaks?

BTW, Budweiser also breeds its famous Clydesdales and removes part of the animals' spines in order to make the horses' tails tiny. Don't buy Budweiser.
