I live in Virginia---thank you for tracking this down. I always assume the Repubs publish lies, but this is the proof. nr

Unfortunately the GOP doesn't care about the truth..

The republicans are simply a party of criminals and liars. They have never done anything to help the individual. This reminds me of the people who are complaining about white privilege hurting the feelings of these knuckle dragging morons. White privilege means you do not get stopped by police because they are suspicious of you, if you’re white. The same is not true for blacks.

As with everything the republicans twist it around to act as if it means all whites are wealthy. Wealth has nothing to do with it. It is only about judgement solely based on skin color.

Let’s start talking about every piece of progress that the Democrats have made and are trying to push through.

We already know the republican party is a total disgrace.

How do we get people who don't care about the truth to care about the truth?

Unfortunately, your post is read by far too few people, particularly in Virginia, to make any difference on Tuesday. The sad fact is, there is simply too large a part of the population who are willing to believe anything that fits their life’s narrative.

How come this distortion by the well known (for Koch c--P) Chris Ruffo was only unearthed by you now? What is missing in these campaigns that they cannot feret out the truth before the eleventh hour? Your discovery should point the way to the work that must be done by Democrats. And, then the truth should be presented in more than a one-line fashion. The one liner is fine but should be followed with explanation that's easy to understand. And, this applies across the country. The Koch organizations are busy at work everywhere.

As a Virginia resident in the Red part of the state, the Conservatives are massing. I have an awful feeling about this election. I voted several weeks ago. McAuliffe better win the high volume if NoVA Tidewater and Richmond or he is toast and so is progressive thought in Virginia

I'm not sure that's what's going on. One party is indeed trying to present itself to a very big tent as a reasoned, rational entity that is trying to make everyone's lives better. And to some extent, it's actually trying to -- and succeeding in -- doing just that.

The other party is tickling the amygdalas of a bunch of shrieking apes. It's a sad commentary on our species that the latter approach still works at all, let alone so spectacularly.

Dana Milbank got it right: "Half of America’s leaders are trying to govern, and the other half are hurling vulgarities." https://wapo.st/3EMQ4BZ
