I’m disappointed that all these companies find money to give to politicians, but don’t want to pay taxes, reduce prices on their products so the customer benefits, or for some of them, to pay their employees a decent wage and provide benefits. Sad
I wonder how long the “family values” party, AKA Republicans, can keep looking the other way from such allegations and continue to support people like Miller? Character matters in life, especially in politics. I remember the Southern Baptist Convention publishing a Resolution on Moral Character of Public Officials back in 1998 as a criticism of Bill Clinton. Since the SBC is a MAJOR STRONGHOLD in the Republican Party, I find their collective silence about the clear moral failures of Republican politicians deafening. In contrast, the Democrats have a history of forcing people (correctly) out of leadership positions when they show the kind of moral failures that the likes of Mike Johnson just wink at when it’s one of his own caucus. I guess moral character matters to Republicans only if it doesn’t interfere with them maintaining POWER. Hypocrites.
When Bernie Moreno, a fellow Republican and one-time Trump critic who has since become Trump’s defender, believes you should leave office, that's saying something. Moreno is only going public with this stance after close to two years of silence on the matter, too. Max Miller shouldn't be supported by anyone in an official capacity, let alone corporations who profess to offer their products and services for everyone's benefits. The utter depravity.
Why is it always the Republicans who are involved in these types of incidents? Well, for one thing, it's not always Republicans, but the evidence says that a vast majority of incidents are committed by them.
Republicans are mostly, if not all, connected to Christianity. Christianity breeds domestic violence, misogyny, racism, a false sense of entitlement and superiority, and general hate for anything that doesn't fit into their narrow views and beliefs.
Maybe we DO NEED a "religious test" for vetting candidates that filters out the most extreme of the delusional crowd?
After all, they take an oath to uphold the Constitution and its promise of equality, and that is one more thing that these fools have fallen short on.
Moreno said that if there are any basic standards for holding office….well in USA the basic standard is to be a convicted felon, sex offender, and partake in corruption and stealing of tax payers money… THAT is the standard for holding office in USA…
Each of these corporations should get smart and start to give their donations to real charities that could use the money. There are plenty of hungry, sick and mentally ill persons and the organizations that care for them which could use the money. Don't like people? Give to animal charities. Dog bit you when you were young? Give to the planet, environmental groups are always looking for help.
Next time, PI could possibly ask if they are willing to stop giving to politicians and begin putting those donations where they might save lives and or make lives easier for those people who are hurting. Share with them a list.

While these donations may seem small, there seems to be a pattern among those corporations who believe they are buying influence. 7 healthcare & insurance companies - are they expecting to be able to charge higher premiums or drug prices while cutting benefits for policy owners? Gambling and resort companies - no regulations for the money-printing profiteering? 6 companies reliant on government contracts - are they expecting big money with little oversight?
Miller is clearly a tainted candidate and only Republicans would enable a violent abuser to continue running .
However, looking at the companies that are backing Miller and Republicans across the board tells you what to expect from Republican rule - no regulations that protect consumers, profiteering without limit. No rule of law. Republicans do not serve those who vote for them. They serve their corporate masters who bribe them.
Would love to know how much these companies received in tariff reimbursements. Not enough money to pay employees what they deserve but plenty to throw around in politics.

I was dumbfounded reading Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments: “There’s all sorts of domestic events going on with 435 members of Congress all the time, it’s not my business to get engaged in it,” 🤦🏻♂️
Seriously? How would he know? Does he monitor their online porn habits like he does with his own son? Does he have a Little Black Book of Oppo Research?
There are very few American businesses, especially the larger ones, who haven't sold their souls to Wall Street and Milton Freidman's evil "Shareholder Capitalism" (may he be forever cursed).
There is no room for morality in such economics. The only thing that matters is increasing shareholder value (and executive and board member compensation).
From the perspective of our business executive friends the only important thing about a politician is whether they will assist in letting businesses maximize profits and stock values. It absolutely doesn't matter what kind of schmuck they are.
